Need advice for playing solo in carrion crown.

Advice

okay I'm taking the plunge and gonna try to play "solo" and GM carrion crown at same time. So far this is what I got. 3 characters using core only materials while using 20 point buy. Gonna be a dwarf cleric of pharasma, a human undead sorcerer, and a half elf rogue.

Now some advice please as I am in unfamiliar territory. Should I bump up the characters starting level a bit? Any advice on how to avoid any pitfalls while trying to separate GM knowledge away from character knowledge? Is there anything I should know or be aware of?
Thanks in advance :)

So it's not that you're playing Carrion Crown with one character, but that you alone are playing Carrion Crown as a full party?

If so, I just have general advice to give: you'll want to build the cleric as a damage dealer since your DPR is suffering otherwise. Also, do not build with the assumption that you're going to be fighting mostly undead... Carrion Crown becomes more occult than undead pretty quickly.

The Exchange

Use a ranger with a rogue dip(2 levels for trap spotter and evasion), favored enemy undead, then later humans, instead of a rogue. I would prefer running a wizard as opposed to undead bloodline sorcerer, just so you can make skill checks and have less need to separate character knowledge and GM knowledge.

Undead bloodline is a bit ambiguous and limiting imo, I dont think its possible to say a ghoul was originally human? The only *used to be human* things are skeletons and zombies and you could get dinosaur skeletons as well.

Also, things that work on humanoids tend to be will save based, and undead have good will save generally.

Yeah playing a group and GMing all by myself. I did 3 because that's I think my limit in being able to roleplay constantly at once. The cleric was gonna build him around dmg and being a bit tankish, the sorcerer...well I've always wanted to play one and from what I've read I think the bloodline power get a lot of uses outta it, and then the rogue....just haven't seen one played in a long time and will be having him sneaking in and out to get sneak attacks off and for my traps and spotting and my skill monkey. Granted it was a toss up between the rogue and the bard, I may go hard instead. If I need help, I'll use ingame characters as cohorts that will help but have their own purposes.
Want to roleplay a bit and will let the dice fall how they will. I'm hoping this will scratch my itch as well as hopefully make me a better GM and player as well.

The Exchange

APs were meant for 4 players on a 15 point buy so the action economy is going to be against you. One failed save, and it means your party is at 2/3rd power. Thus you need a healthy dose of optimization on your part and probably ways to bring in spare bodies to soak damage (animal companions, random summons, anyone?). You might also meed a healthy dose of paranoia and don't grab anything without checking it for curses/traps first. Again, its mostly common sense.
