Are there really no PFS games Friday afternoon, except the one?

Silver Crusade

Now there are back. Almost had a heart attack there. Need to take up a more relaxing hobby. Like trading on the NYSE floor. :-)

Crickey. I signed up for a bunch of stuff just after noon...all gone.

All my non-lottery sign ups are gone.

Anyone else having this issue? Did I do something wrong?

Edit: See below comment. I'm signed up, but no longer showing on my schedule. It shows me attending in the event listing.

Grand Lodge

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

They appear to be coming back Painlord ... and if you look down lower where you select you are still signed up for it.

Earlier the Attendee number was not going up. They are probably working on that.

Dark Archive

All my stuffs are there, granted it is all seminars and volunteer items.

Grand Lodge

Mine are gone too.

Silver Crusade

Having the same problem. One of my lottery picks is gone and a seminar is in its place.

Grand Lodge

Hmmm, nevermind. The events are showing in the list but not on the summary at the top.

Silver Crusade

It appears they are working through an issue day by day. I've got all Friday and Saturday events I registered for now. Still missing some Sunday and Monday, but I'm still registered per the event.

Scarab Sages

Some of my non-lottery events show up in my schedule, and some of them only show me confirmed in the event descriptions. It's a work in progress, I guess.

The sign ups are recorded, we're having an issue with it showing that in the schedules. That's what we're fixing right now.

Thank you Cort! I was just going to ask about that.

Looks that way, for now. Keep an eye on it, though. Additional PFS games are still being organized by attendees. Some of them may show up in the official schedule, and others may only show up on the Warhorn page referenced on Page 5 of this thread.

There are no officially scheduled PFS games in any afternoon slot. Attendees are free to organize their own tables or attend seminars/actually eat.

PaizoCon Volunteer Blog Post wrote:
The morning slots each day will host no less than 11 different PFS scenarios in both existing campaign mode and Core Campaign mode. The afternoon slot each day will be left open so attendees can participate in seminars (including GM 101 and GM 201 sessions), have time to look around the PaizoCon store, have more time to schedule lunch and dinner, and more opportunities to participate in the other events and activities at the show. For the diehard PFS fans who want to play a roleplaying or card game scenario in the afternoon slot, there will be tables available in the open gaming area, though we will not be officially scheduling GMs for those slots.

Talking with Cort about the ramifications of this issue, I think the responsible thing to do right now is to turn it back off for a bit. Its recording all the data, but if you folks can't see what's been added, then it makes it problematic. It also appears that if you add an event and its full, you won't know if you got in it until we fix this.

Current problem is that to turn it off we have to set a date/time for it. Tech is testing their fix but we don't know exactly how long that will take (an hour? 3 hours?). We don't want to set it too early and have to push it back again. And we don't want to push it too late and end up either us being at work far later than we need to having to move the time earlier and cause confusion.

Dark Archive

All my open registration events are back now (whew!), but it's showing me as signed up on Friday for both the PFS scenario Tapestry's Toil at 8am, and Welcome to PaizoCon at 9 am. However, when I scroll down to Welcome to PaizoCon, it shows it as being available to add to my schedule (so no way to remove it), with the warning that it clashes with Tapestry's Toil. This is true of both my fiance and I. We would much rather play the PFS scenario, so are we ok as is, or do we need to do something further?

Lantern Lodge Customer Service Manager

Apparently turning leaving it blank lets us turn it off without setting a specific time. We'll add one as soon as we can.

So we're registered, registration shows in the event itself, but you've turned off the "Your Schedule" function to correct an issue?

Sorry, just wanted to confirm.

Shadow Lodge

It's been slow, but certainly working as expected as I slog through the events.

Lantern Lodge Customer Service Manager

All the clicking and adding things to schedules (with some caveats) was registered in the data, but didn't display . And we're trying to hash out what those caveats are right now.

Contributor

I got a few neat lottery events, but I went to sign up for other events and everything is either "event is full" or "signup not yet open."

Open registration opened today with errors, it's now closed, and we have no word on when it will open again? Is that about right?

Sovereign Court

I just bought a badge and cannot sign up for any event. Can I get a refund?

Lantern Lodge Customer Service Manager

No one can sign up for anything at the moment due to some technical errors we've experienced.

Tech team is currently testing the fixes they've added and we will let you know more as soon as we can.

I thought this change was kind of nice. Last Paizo con I found it difficult to find time to eat in between games. Maybe that's my fault for scheduling back to back PFS sessions though :)

As part of the glitch, were any events over-booked? I ask because my daughter and I booked two events that reached max attendance and I want to know if this is something I might need to stay tuned for or if I can unplug and ignore event scheduling this weekend. ;)

Lantern Lodge Customer Service Manager

Tech team is rolling fixes.

Lantern Lodge Customer Service Manager

Ok, gonna turn things back on at 6pm tonight (15 minutes from now).

Lantern Lodge Customer Service Manager

With regards to event trading, we do have one issue. If you have a conflicting event with the event you are trying to accept for trade, the trade will not go through but it will not tell you why. If you are having trouble with a trade, review your schedule for conflicts.

Because data and computer code is weird and complicated and pretty analogous to magic tbh I have to set the "start" time for Open Event Registration and Event Trading to 04/30/15 07:00 PM so be advised: even though it will say it started on April 28th, it will actually have started (crossing fingers) at 6pm May 1st.

My Sunday schedule doesn't show scenario 6-11, but the event itself says I'm registered but 0 people show as signed up. Am I or aren't I?

Silver Crusade

Excellent! Like the revised formatting, BTW.

One small issue - the Pathfinder RPG Design Workshop is no longer showing on my list. It still shows "On Your Schedule" on the event itself.

I, too, am still seeing a discrepancy between the overview of my schedule (no Saturday or Sunday morning events are listed) and the individual event listings (Saturday and Sunday morning events are marked "On your schedule" in green).

I do not know if it is related to your glitches today, but I just logged on (6:10 PST) and only lottery game that I have showing on my schedule is one I did not sign up for. I mean, it's entirely possible I received 0 of my lotteries, but getting one I did not request is just weird.

I suppose I should wait for tomorrow to see if all your glitches are resolved before proceeding.

Technology Manager

The display code is fixed but the event has to be poked to force the cache to reload itself. So if you see 0 people don't stress over it, we're sharpening the poking stick.

Scarab Sages

I guess the fixes are still rolling.

Shadow Lodge

Has it been shut down again? I starting signing up for games and the buttons grayed out on me.

Looks like it's working for me right now. Items that haven't filled up and don't conflict with anything on my schedule show up as available.

Shadow Lodge

Yeah, seems to be working now.

Additionally, if you are a GM and want to add a PFS game on the PaizoCon online schedule so people can register for it along with their other events, we can add that up to May 11th. Just email me at paizocon@paizo.com. Mike Brock has told me that he is happy to add any of these middle slot games run by community members to the event reporting for the Paizo PFS games.

Can we also do this for non-PFS games we want to run as pickup games?

Couldn't be happier with my picks got into one of my top and two mids. Counting the days.

Last night, when I got home at about 1 am, I signed up for the two big events at Paizo Con on Friday and Sunday evenings. These two transactions went through smoothly.

Then, I went into the Event Trading area and made two consecutive trades. I had the 60233 Pathfinder Goblins & Dinosaurs event on my schedule, which I traded for 60260 Green Blood on a Black Rock. This transaction went through smoothly. I then traded 60260 Green Blood on a Black Rock for 60292 Midgard Grandmother's Fire, and this change did not show up on my schedule. I then attempted to sign up for 60292 Midgard Grandmother's Fire, which was listing as having an open seat. I was directed to refresh the page, but when I did so, the event did not show up on my schedule. I should have been placed into the 60292 Midgard Grandmother's Fire, since I traded for it and subsequently clicked the sign up button when it was showing as having an open seat.

I just want to take a moment to thank the Paizo staff for all of their hard work over the last few days throughout all the various event gremlins and hiccups. In addition to working long hours to fix said problems, they've been extremely patient and understanding with all of us on the boards who've demanded to know what's going on, and want an update Right Now! I've always found Paizo employees to be awesome at communicating with their customers, and the last few days have proven they go above and beyond. So to all of you who put up with us, you guys rock, and are very much appreciated!!! :)

Trading Question:

I have a lotto event that I'd like to suggest for trades during any of the times I currently have PFS. In my opinion, I would be "trading up" and there isn't a huge chance of the trades going through. (hey, some people want to give up awesome lotto events for pfs and events I think are less awesome)

Do I have to remove all of the PFS before I even know if anyone is interested in the trade?

If a trade "doesn't go through" because I have a conflicting pfs spot, will I know that it was attempted at all?

Dark Archive

I noticed late last week that my schedule got borked... both the friday and saturday specials got dropped from my schedule, as well as a saturday morning session.

I noticed they were still missing this morning, but I could "add to my schedule" so I did. should I be worried that it looks like I was *actually* dropped from these, and it wasn't just a glitch?

Thanks for your patience Deidre,

In order for the ticket trade to go through the time window for the event you're receiving must be open in your schedule. If you already have an event reserved for that time frame the system will detect a scheduling conflict and prevent the trade from going through.

I signed up for a Monday morning game with my buddy that had room for 1 more person. Yay! -- EXCEPT... while it says by the game "On your schedule", it doesn't actually appear on my schedule, no matter refreshing or remove/re-add...? How can I find out if it's really on my schedule? (Also, when I register, the number of players stays at 11 rather than moving to 12). PS. There's no schedule conflicts. Help me Obiwan!

Yeah, this was a weird one. One of the folks signed up for the last slot but had a schedule conflict and managed to get the system to acknowledge him as in the event, but not taking up a slot. We've straightened it out and folks were put into the event in the order they added it to their schedule up to the event's capacity. So you will either be fully in the event now or have been removed entirely.
