Looks like fun. It has Peter Dinklage with a mullet. How bad can it be?

I remember first seeing this trailer a few months ago and just thought "wow I wanna see this"

I would feel more reassured if there was more Dinklage and less Sandler in the trailer...

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens Subscriber

The concept is novel and the Toru Iwatani sequence had me laughing. That being said, I am little concerned that is a Sandler/James movie.

This seems like it will be amusing.

I think this looks awesome, especially with Sandler. At first I thought it looked dumb, right up until I realized it was a comedy and had Sandler in it, then I was sold!

Sandler isn't that bad. You just have to be willing to turn your brain off.

Sandler is amazingly hit or miss for me. He can do highbrow comedy, he can do slapstick, and he can do things that strike a solid balance of the 2. A lot of his things go too far into the slapstick end for my tastes. Like Ben Stiller, he is a comedian I will wait and see what the reviews are before watching. That is a lot better than I will give Will Ferrell, whom I can't stand to see on screen.

I cringed pretty hard at this trailer.

Honestly, it reminds me of Evolution

Totally agree about Ferrell. The only movie of his that I like is Megamind.

O.o

You didn't like Elf? or Stranger Than Fiction?

It looks funny, I might see it, depends on what else is out. I agree Sandler is a hit/miss for me though more miss in recent years except for Hotel Transylvania. Also I like Megamind as one of the best that Will Ferrell has ever done.

Not a big Ferrell fan, but Talladega Nights is funny. The scene where he stabs himself in the leg just cracks me up.

I can't stand Elf and never saw Stranger Than Fiction. My wife says I need to give Stranger Than Fiction a chance and I intemd to, its just not a high priority.

I just discovered this album and really hope it is the soundtrack. It wont be, but it would be perfect.

That trailer was just so, so awful. didn't they just take a segment of a Futurama episode and streached out to a movie? It's a 'No' from me.

Cheers
Mark

I saw the movie today, much better then I thought it was going to be. It has been a while since I have seen a Sandler movie that I have liked well unless you count Hotel Transylvania as a Sandler movie.

Hotel Transylvania Missus Turin and I enjoyed immensely, regardless of the voice casting. We're very much looking forward to the forthcoming sequel. Pixels we'll probably see, mostly to see Pac-Man om-nom-nomming on all kinds of things on Da Big Screen. It does help that we're big fans of admission tickets on the cheap by various means (Coke Rewards, et al), so we're able to watch probably a good half-dozen movies this summer/September that we'd otherwise not shell out the $$ to see.
