PCGen saves?

Ok apparently I'm an idiot. I've just started trying to use PCGen v6.04.01. Everything seems to work fine but whenever I try to save anything it doesn't do anything. There's no file created anywhere from what I can tell. Can someone please tell me how to save the work that I do on it? It's completely baffling to me.

PCGen typically saves in its install directory, I think. On Windows, this might be buried in an AppData folder in your user directory. On OS X this is within the PCGen app bundle.

If all else fails, the "Tools | Preferences" menu choice brings up a bunch of settings you can set. Clicking on the "Locations" entry in the left-hand column brings up the locations of saved characters, data files, and a bunch of other things. They also can be changed to other locations, as desired. [I do that for several of the directories.]

I also can't find saves. It doesn't seem to be saving. I have created the same character 5 times, saved it every time and nothing. I have gone to the folder it says its saving in but there is nothing but the 4 that come with the program. I have done a search of my computer and it simply isn't saving them anywhere.

You could try Save As and just tell it where to put things. That's what I did. (Partly because I wanted it in a Dropbox folder so I could share between computers more easily.)
