My group finished "Ashes at Dawn" yesterday, and I plan on writing a review of it as I have for the last four modules of the AP. I realized from the "List of Community Created Content" thread that most of my additions were scattered all over the forum, so here's an attempt to consolidate everything. As soon as I complete a freelance project (which is almost done), I will add my review of the fifth module as well. Hope this helps other DMs with some of the expanded material and tips in the first two modules for having 5 playes.
A review of Harrowstone and tips for running with 5 players
Expanding the Harrowstone Prisoners
The journey between Ravengro and Lepistatd (Clover's Crossing)
Expanding Herstag for 5 players (other minor changes)

The Journey between Ascanor and Feldgrau expanded

No Problem!
They are going ready to fight Marrowgarth tomorrow and then its upward through Gallowspire to the final fight. I have yet to formulate what version of the BBEG I am exactly using, but it will probably incorporate the Whispering Tyrant at various stages. After 4 years of playing we're finally nearing the end...

God, I haven't been on these forums in what feels like years. Just want to thank anyone that's still getting use out of these conversions, mods, and reviews. I loved running Carrion Crown, even as the players abilities overpowered the horror aspect of the campaign. Currently I am doing the following:
-About to run the finale of Rise of the Runelords for a different group, a campaign that's been going for four years. I think it's gonna go.. badly. The players need to roll really good (17+) to save against most of Karzoug's spells. I'm gonna give them as much in game advice as possible without neutering Karzoug. This is three of the player's first D+D experience.
-Playing Reign of Winter, but over the course of the year, we've played six times. Scheduling conflicts are the real party killers. However, we are playing tomorrow, and as I remember, they are legacy characters from Kingmaker (the sons and daughters of our PCs in hat AP)
-Upon competing Runelords, will be running either Crimson Throne or Shattered Star. Still weighing support for both APs.

Rakshaka, I am using your campaign notes for my second run of Carrion Crown and I am very grateful for them and all your work.
I completed Crimson Throne as a player and Shattered Star as the GM, and even I would have to endorse Crimson Throne for your next AP, and if you are up to it, Shatterd Star can be run as a sequel of sorts to Crimson Throne anyways.
Cheers again to all your work on the Horror AP!

Same here. Carrion Crown is my first attempt as a GM, and I started using your expanded material since Broken Moon. I can't explain how decisive your work and notes are for me and my playgroup! Even if the party is composed by "only" four player, since two of them are a bit pushed to some (healthy) form of power-play, your tweaks work just fine.
Now I'm currently running the Carrion Hill adaptation for CC: this evening my players will face the ancient Sunless Grove...
Cheers!

After several years, my players too are approaching Gallowspire. I really appreciate all the work you've done, it's really helped me. My next campaign is also going to be Reign of Winter, do you think you'll make some posts about it too? I would love to hear your perspective!

Just now finishing up HoH as a first-time GM and I plan on using your work on Clover's Crossing as inspiration for my own example of what would have happened to Ravengro without Lorrimor and the PC's interference.
I'm a big fan of Hammer horror films and between the AP's material, Rule of Fear and community content I've been able to give my players a great horror experience.
