Since I skipped to the end to post this I don't know if anyone's said this buuuut...
Orphaned Werewolf UMonk often seen using nunchaku.
Catfolk Cleric/Bard works at an orphanage.
Zombie Skald uses a guitar with an aesthetic based his.
Voluptuous vampiric succubus and her flat chested off colored clone.
Hint for all at once: They're from the same series.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Human child Psychic (Aetherkineticist?) with class levels that belie her years. Curiously enough, she actually plays D&D but not as her own class due to old editions.
Eleven from Stranger Things?
Yeah, my first one was the lead from Shadow of the Colossus. Anyone got a guess for the second?
This Good-aligned Necromancer has a set of magic items specifically made to help her lead the unquiet dead to rest.

That's a whole bunch of Darkstalkers right there. You forgot the Dhampir Kinslayer Inquisitor with the intelligent greatsword though.

Sabriel from the Abhorsen books for the good necromancer.

A young synthesist of some sort who finds herself having to fight a variety of powerful foes in trying to avenge her father though her fused form with her eidolon is embarrassingly revealing counting:
* A very lawful neutral masochistic synthesist/monk(maybe?) who has found a way of translating the damage dealt to him as greater returned damage.
* A high perception synthesist/samurai who eventually gains the equivalent of the Swordmaster's Blindfold by chosing that it was better to fight without his sight.
*A synthesist/bard with a heavy focus on dealong sonic damage who is able to fly. Focus on keeping an opponent at a distance as she uses her music to blow them away.
*A synthesis/sorcerer focused on divination and fighting with greater invisibility. Able to fun weakness in an opponent's abilities and exploit them.
And finally, one with the Leadership feat with high rating, high Intimidation, ruling all beneath who shows herself to also be a capable synthesist with the complete loyalty of her "four generals".
... all who which must later join together to stop a world ending threat from a woman who can turn off their ability to fuse in an ever building climax of insanity and awesome.

Ryuko Mattoi, Kill la Kill
and also Gamagoori Ira, dog boy, Nonon Jakuzure, Inumuta, Satsuke Kiryuin, and Ragyo Kiryuin respectively

Yes, that is correct though the "dog guy" is Uzu Sanageyama.
May have went a little overboard by making everyone a synthesist yet it is really the only class that can represent the transformations and change of power for the characters who use life fibers.

this looks like fun,
this fighter/cleric wields a short sword that can be magically reshaped from a small object to a weapon (or vice versa) as a move action. his cleric levels grant him the water and war domains.
his sword is also cursed to fail him when he needs it the most.
Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon. From the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

Outlaw Star. And I would so love to have a caster gun.
(Modern) Literature:
Neutral Good Human Warpriest/Bolt Ace and
Lawful Evil Dhampir Bladebound Arcanist
reluctantly cooperate to recover the memories of a Lawful Neutral Sorcerer (with the help of her apprentice) from a degenerate race of Catfolk and their (human) Chaotic Evil Mistress/Queen.

Not an item or a character, but...
A portion of the Plane of Shadow that people have been known to get drawn into, where they must face twisted, sometimes-humanoid monsters that reflect mental traumas; distorted, malevolent architecture that can arbitrarily shift as they pass; and baffling puzzles to have any hope of escaping.
It's mostly co-located with a specific geographical area.

The series is Silent Hill, but there's like a half-dozen names for the place. I think Otherworld is the most common? Which I guess makes the Fog World the Ethereal Plane.

Anime fans know all about anime but only anime fans know a single thing about anime.
I suspose that could be true for books as well. aside from obvious ones like say
Human ranger
Dwarf fighter
Elf archer
4 Halflings etc.
movies and games would make for easier ones although I totes missed the SH one.

Hmm, I wonder... maybe certain members of the Fellowship of the Ring from the Lord of the Rings franchise?
Aragorn, Gimli, Legolas, Frodo, Samwise, Merry, and Pippin.

Not anime this time!
An Elf Aristocrat/Sorcerer, armed with an intelligent Greatsword with a lamentably high Ego score.

Elric.
The Blackblade Magus is a direct and intentional archetype to make him, no multiclass required. Even the vanilla iconic Magus Seltyiel is openly intended to look exactly like Elric. Long white hair, a bit evil, flounces about!
Except his sword is less of an ass.

Got it in one. (Magus would've worked, but I think Elric mostly did summoning magic in his stories, not zapping stuff.)

Seems like a fun game. There are other ways to interpret this, but this is how I see these characters.
Male Human Ninja with Cybernetics
Male Human Gunslinger (Pistolero)
Male Human Psychic (Formless Adept)
Male Human Fighter (Trench Fighter)
Female Human Bard (Magician)
Female Human (Prana Ghost) Fighter (Mobile Fighter)

Reduxist |

Alright, I have an idea for this game. This one is from a video game.
All characters human unless noted otherwise
Male Paladin with a 1 level dip in Cavalier (Standard Bearer)
Male Rogue with the Firearm Training talent
Female Cleric (Merciful Healer), has access to Lightning Bolt and Dazing Spell
Female Alchemist with Acid Bomb discovery and a Dagger with the Bleed enhancement
That is the main group you start with, but you can also pick up characters like a female Barbarian that uses a Glaive, a Male Bard that dual wields simple weapons and a Male Wild Shape focused Druid that doesn't get along with the Paladin and Cleric.
Their foes are numerous, including a Lich, an Oracle with Clouded Sight, an army of Ragebred Skinwalkers of various classes and bandits.

And it's an E6 game using the sanity rules, right?
I don't know their names, but I do know they're headed for The Darkest Dungeon.

Commoner boy who for some reason has exotic weapon proficiency: katana. Eventually meets up with an aristocat woman but they get seperated due to a weird accident, luckily he has a gun slinger friend who comes to help him along with a grippli paladin.
One high int ranger makes his way to an island along with some commoners. They all flee from huge monsters way above their CR before escaping.

Awakened Kitten |
This human monk is a master in his variety of martial arts. The only problem is that most of the time he forgets how to do anything but be comic relief, but to be fair that might be because his pants don't fit.
Before becoming a monk he got a few levels as a Druid, and he is almost always seen with his animal companion. He took some ranks in proffesion (cook).
Here's the answer

Is this from Chrono Trigger? If so, Crono, Marle, Lucca, and Frog.
EDIT: Is the Ranger Magus?

Great thread, can I resurrect it?
This Aasimar Gestalt Bladebound Magus/Repose Inquisitor knows little about his origins and his true destiny, but a (casual?) bumping into an emissary of Pharasma will be the beginning of a series of quests to save this world and the other. His most loyal companions are an Eldritch Archer, a slightly barmy Inerrant Voice Succor oracle who's in love with him, and an unarmed Dreadnought barbarian with two very special gloves of power.

JDLPF |

Sounds like some sort of Annie-May, so I have no idea.
Here's an easy one:
This human cleric is rumoured to have been born with the half-celestial template, though no descriptions include his having a flight speed, and may therefore have only been the celestial simple template. Reports of his early youth are few, though it's known he invested ranks into Profession: Carpenter. Famous for his spellcasting abilities, he is known to have at various times cast cure light wounds, remove disease, create food and water, cure blindness, water walk and raise dead. Through the use of Leadership, he gathered a significant amount of followers, and was known to lead a party of twelve acolytes during his adventures. Unfortunately one of these betrayed him, resulting in his death. After a three day ritual, he underwent a spontaneous Resurrection, appearing to a select few of his acolytes before using Plane Shift to ascend to the celestial realms.

JDLPF |

Correct!
Here's another:
This yellow-haired, orange-skinned gnome aristocrat is well known for his heavy investment into Intimidate and Bluff, whilst lacking any significant ranks in Diplomacy. He is married to a half-elf several age categories younger, and enjoys transmitting his thoughts to his followers using a wondrous item of Animal Messenger to summon a small blue bird. His rulership is constantly plagued by controversies surrounding infernal contracts influencing his rise to power.

Current POTUS.

JDLPF |

Donald Trump: 71 (venerable human age category)
Melania Trump: 47 (middle age human age category)
2 age categories difference.
And yes, orange-skinned gnome. I can't honestly think of any other race that would naturally be that particular shade, can you?

![]() |

Hmm, I didn't realize there was such an age difference or that Trump was so old. I will say though, I would still probably go with him being human, not a gnome. The fact remains, he is human and his skin is what it is. Shrugs
Honestly I feel his skin may appear orange in only certain lights, as with other images his skin seems fine or even normal.
For example, his skin seems pinkish/fair here.
