Forgotten Realms: Gods and Images

3.5/d20/OGL

Re-posting from earlier to see if anyone has any more link able/save able pictures!

So: Beshaba. The Maid of Misfortune. The Doom Lady. The Scourge of Ill-luck.

... she is a terribly under-imaged as a deity of FR. I'm, like, finding the same four images of her (and one of those is dubious). It may well be that my Google-fu is failing me, but I kind of need to have some images of her (decent ones) so that when...

In my game:

... my player meets her, and learns that she, in fact, is Beshaba, who is enacting a complicated scheme to bring complete disaster to no less than four other gods (with the current "Beshaba" running around actually being twelve other non-murderous ice assassins she's made of herself...

... but the only official image I can find is that one. You know. The image. (It's from Faiths and Pantheons.)

Somehow, it's... just not inspiring for the spoiler above.

Can you guys find good, strong images?

Also: Kiarensalee, Shar, Bane, Moander, and Tymora, if possible. I can find tons of Eilistraee, and Lolth ('cause, "hot drow", I suppose).

Further, is there anyone who can give me a summary of what happened in the written work Tymora's Luck (most notably: the parts including Beshaba and Tymora, and the attempt to reunite them to make Tyche, etc.)?

As well: any other gods of bad luck or misfortune that you guys know of? I know Zyphus, but I don't really relate him that well to Beshaba. The cover does have a 2E representation of Beshaba! She looked like a weird white gnome facing off against her tomboy sister (who looked like a Halfling with covered human-proportion feet).

Drejk came up with some AWESOME descriptions: but does anyone have pictures I could link (it also aids in inspiration).

Thanks, all!

Beshabe is under imaged and under used, indeed. The official art of her is limited to the F&P picture and the Tymora's luck cover, I believe. That said, the F&P image IS pretty much as she is described. When Tyche was split, Beshaba was the beautiful daughter. She is lovely beyond compare, but her face is cold, dead and twisted. She wears black, and is pale, typically with white hair. Her dresses show off her body, and are usually torn. She wears jewelry. The book cover is a complete failure. There was some nice fan art by googling her name.

As for the book plot, it was ages ago, but I believe it was

Spoiler:
a plot by Iyachtu Xvim disguised as Sirrion, Krynnese god of fire, to join the two again. It failed, and I don't believe anything much changed from it
.

Thank you!

Actually... any more relevant details of that would be amazing, since

spoiler!:
Iatchu Xvim is (though definitely dead) featuring prominently in my game!

It has been a number of years since I read that book but from what I remember Lathander had been duped by a 3rd good from the greyhawk realm into believing that by shoving tymora and besheba into a godly reverse centrifuge he would recreate his old friend Tyche, Goddess of all luck.

He actually managed to get them both in there but one of his own paladins was about to take up arms against him when he remembered himself and let them go. There was a third God or something else that showed him that instead of a centrifuge the device he had trapped the Goddesses in was actually a power stealer that would have given their divine essence to a greyhawk fire god or something like that, not really sure about that part it could have been a plot by ixum ivim but like I said it's been years since I've read the book.

Beshba was really po'd so she gave him a nice long wet kiss thus bestowing ill fortune on the God himself and thereby affecting his entire church.
He asked Tymora for her favor to undo the curse from her twin and as she looked at his paladin she said " I believe I have given you enough favor when this young woman joined your following." and then she disappeared.
Lathander sent the mortals back to the realms with his thanks for their help and that's about all I remember.

I don't think Lathander was too worried about beshba's curse though, he is after all a Greater God and the chances of a intermediate( at best) Goddess being able to affect him are rather slim.
Hope this helps.

USEFUL! THANK YOU!

Also, the fact that lathander is no more probably saw the curse to fruition.

Hmp. Nice catch, Freehold! I didn't make that connection from FR Lore at all!

EDIT: Wait...
