So I have a friend that's never played and finished reading some of the books and wanted to make dwarven crossbowman that uses a tower shield as cover to reload he's gonna be ranger/fighter or dwarven crossbowyer from kobold press.its a 20 point buy in giantslayer ap and he wants use vital strike and crit style. I looked the forums and he knows what basic archery feats to use pbs pre shot vital strike but are there any other important feats other than the basics worth mentioning? His stats and background are

Ordin stoneforge is not your run of the mill dwarf well that depends on what you call run of the mill? Hes definitely a booze hound like his kin but rather dislikes the closed confines of caves and enjoys his days and nights underneath light and stars moon and sun after most of his clan were whipped out by giants after seeing the rest of his kin to safety with a neighboring clan. The enraged took up his beautifully crafted heavy crossbow and pack in a swift snap of his bulky wrist the heavy pack leaped to his shoulder in a single action in his anger he swore a blood oath that he would avenge his fallen kin and kill the giants that destroyed his home. Even is much is Ordin disliked the worked stone around him harm and destruction was all that was left in the wake.the dwarf set about the mountain trail looking for the tracks of his most hated enemy wondering if he would ever make it the forests of lush greenery he always hoped for?
