I will be running a module wit a 7th level evoker. One of his school power is (at 7th level) +3 damage on evocation school spells. How does that +3 apply to the Magic Missile spell? Is it +3 per missile, +3 on one missile, or can the total +3 be split among the four missiles he can cast at 7th level?


+3 damage to a single missile.

It's +3 damage to the spell. So have the caster roll the magic missile damages, then add +3 at the end.

Despite how many missiles are shot, it's still one spell.

Typically, like sneak attack, it should be added to the first missile.

Remember that the 4 missiles he shoots can be targeted at up to four different PCs.

It gets uglier with certain other Evocation spells, like Burning Hands, where they do area damage, so the +3 applies to everyone in the area of effect...

Also remember that his Force Missiles will do 1d4+3 each, as a mini-magic missile.
