A quick question: My name is Daron, and I'm a third-party publisher working under the trade name Abandoned Arts. Further, Abandoned Arts is only an imprint of Fat Goblin Games, and I currently publish only PDF products - no print yet. Abandoned Arts is not my day job or a full-time job, and contributes only marginally to my income.
I am wondering if an item submitted by me will qualify, because I technically work in the industry. I've already seen at least four or five items more than once while voting, and I'm not even a Star Voter yet. I'm just wondering if I haven't seen my own item by now because it was disqualified!
Thanks in advance,
Daron Woodson

Don't worry about the repeat items either..., that's quite normal!
I believe what happens is all the items are put into a queue, as everyone refreshes their pages and vote, they get a random pair from the queue, once the queue empties it is refilled, repeat and continue as necessary. (It's probably more complex, but I believe that's the general gist)
So getting repeat items is going to happen - in my first 100 votes against 2 pairs, you would think 200 items - no, I saw 177 unique items, 23 were repeat items in different pairings. One I had appear 4 times!

We spell that out pretty specifically in the rules: " Employees of Paizo, their immediate family members, and persons with whom such employees are domiciled are ineligible. Anyone who has been employed full-time as a designer for a game company is ineligible. Anyone with a cover credit on a hardcover RPG book is ineligible. Anyone who has a design credit in 3 or more of Paizo's Pathfinder products is ineligible. The top 8 finalists of all previous RPG Superstar™ contests are ineligible. "
If you aren't "employed full-time" by a company, and none of the other conditions apply, you're eligible.
