Petty, could you link the new list?

I've occasionally considered a Wayfinder-esque post superstar item book freebie. Everything would get an extra layer of polish or in some cases a rewrite. I'd prolly limit it to like 250 items (for may sanity) and see if anyone wants to donate time as an artist or layout guy.
The only thing that stops me is the concern I'd be taking Paizo IP and get sued.
I'd made one for myself last year as a fun editing and layout exercise. Probably still have the source files to make one for this year too.
I really wish some (say the Top 100-ish) or all submissions could be released under the OGL + non-commercial CUP, at least. Paizo would still hold the copyright and fans could use the items and publish collections a la Wayfinder, but the uses would have to be registered with Paizo and nobody could sell them.

Everyone can add to this list.

I am going to guess 219 items post-cull
Thank you, Ms. Sullivan! The bonus is: I saw mine on said list very, very quickly.

I am literally crying tears of an overwhelming and indescribable joy.
My item is on the post-cull list.
OK, I didn't think my item would have been culled but I was still a little anxious nonetheless. I did see it on the post culled list.
Ok! now I get the most brilliant idea for a weapon, always next year!

Aaron Miller 335 wrote: Ok! now I get the most brilliant idea for a weapon, always next year! The new list is still being compiled. There have been 20 new entries on it in the last ten minutes. Give it a few hours, or even a day.

You and me both.
Sweet that armor made it.
Now I've got a mental image of my alchemist while the other PCs stand around chanting "Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!"

Dear would be designer, is there a particular reason why you haven't used existing weapon properties instead reinventing them for your item? Is the slight difference in damage inflicted sufficient reason for this? (which would be otherwise decent homebrew item)
Insect-themed item vs insect themed item... Coincidence?
Oh yay! My item is on the post-cull list! :D Still haven't seen it in the wild, but I still have quite a few voting days ahead of me.
I haven't been voting very much I was on vacation, but I picked a good time to be back!
Drejk wrote: Insect-themed item vs insect themed item... Coincidence? Inevitability. Just got soul-eater vs. soul-eater. Now I get to decide which one did it better.
My item seems to have persevered as well!
I didn't think I would be excited, but I'm a little relieved at least that my item made the cull.
It's nice to know I made the cull, but it's even nicer to have good pairs to vote on!
I don't generally vote for cthulhu-y stuff, but that one item does it well, so I gotta.
Clouds Without Water wrote: It's nice to know I made the cull, but it's even nicer to have good pairs to vote on! I second that emotion.
Yeah, made it!
And I immediately started to see new items, which is a nice plus.

Disarming shield VS Disarming shield
Who has the better grasp of making one of these?
Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber
Seen my first 100 unique items post cull...
Interesting for me is...
a) 7 brand spanking new unique items not seen pre cull before :)
b) The other 93 are all items I have upvoted previously at least once.
So I'm batting well this year with my voting choices ;)
Most rods are kinda eh. But this one rod that reminds me of a very classic rod...

That seems to be a fan favorite this year, this thread is littered with positive references to it. Personally I like it, but I don't love it.
That cull was so needed. Thanks Paizo staff!
Why not just go whole hog and do a bone spear too while you're at it?
Looks like my item cleared the cull. Feeling a bit more optimistic now.
The cull definitely helped raise the quality of matchups. And I saw my item, so I'm pretty ecstatic about continuing on, especially since it was on my 6th vote.

18 of the 25 items on my Keep list have shown up in the post-cull list so far. Good job to all of you fantastic designers! I obviously wasn't the only one you impressed.

Removed a post. A reminder: do not post anything that will reveal your item. It may disqualify your entry from the competition.
I still don't see one of my favorites, which bums me out. I wasn't sure how well it would do overall, though I've seen it on at least one other shared list.
Whew.
Still alive post cull!
Congrats to everyone else who has seen their item.
Hold out hope if you havent!

First RPG Superstar entry and I made it past the cull! Nice.
Chris Lambertz wrote: Removed a post. A reminder: do not post anything that will reveal your item. It may disqualify your entry from the competition. DUN DUN DDDDUUUUUUUNNNNNN!!!!
Seriously, though, I hope the person who prompted this reminder did not get himself/herself DQ'ed. That would suck. :(
Anyone know what percentage they culled this year? In past years it was the bottom 25%, but currently less than 50% of all recorded items seen pre cull have been seen (and recorded) since. They are still trickling in with 348 currently, but if there are about 600 items still in the pool, you would think they would be coming faster until we get closer to 600. Did they cut 50% this year?

A new item! And one that could interact with my item in some very confusing ways! Heh.
Yay! That staff is still around!

This ring is so thematically awesome and mechanically interesting, but displays zero knowledge of pricing mechanics.
Still, its better than the ring it opposes.

I am so very happy!
Post-cull status, baby! Oh, yeah!
