Oh, looking at the other item, guess not. Not this time!
Whenever I see an entry that looks like that, I give them the biggest benefit of the doubt that perhaps it was someone who is under 18 and excited to be entering along with dad, mom or another older sibling.
We also do have a lot of ESL entrants, among the notables - Christine Schneider, 2008 Champion from Germany and Jacob Trier, twice Top 16 contender who is Danish. I am certain there are others, but they are the two who I know the names of and their accomplishments off the top of my head, so please do not be offended if I do not know you personally. Introduce yourself to me in a PM!
That's how I'm leaning, especially with this year's change.

Every time I look at my keep items, I always pause on the one staff I saved in my new keep pile.
Such a low-powered thing, but so elegant I'd want to make a character just so they can use it. Bravo staff.. bravo.
If I combined all my keeps I'd have a staff using/net proficient/heal-skill trained/asian weapon using cleric.

Is it just me or does it seem like less than 10% of people who add a Skill bonus to their item realize there's a cost associated with skill bonuses and that the cost GETS SQUARED at one point?
When does it get squared?

Oh for petes sake.....
"Piece of crap unless a paladin is holding it" vs. "Unformatted ,uninspired ring"
You've won this round Paladin-Only item...but you won't get away with it again.
Those aggravate me because of pricing.
Either a Paladin is going to buy it for waaaay cheaper than the price of a regular +5 XY weapon, saving him mega cash and canceling the items restrictions in pricing..
Or a Rogue or something will never buy it, and it sits unused in the book.
I've also seen ..
Bard or crap.
Rogue or crap.
Neutral or crap. (slightly less annoying)
Barbarian or crap.
Ranger or crap.
I don't often upvote these.

Is ammunition the same thing as a magic weapon?
Would say, a magic trebuchet rock or ballistae bolt be acceptable for the round 1 criteria?
Unique ammunition I think is fair game. It was specifically mentioned siege weapons were technically allowed, though advised against.

I think I just saw the item you are asking about.

Speaking of "Ranger or Crap" - I saw an item that targets Rangers - which was so meta I didn't want to like it, but I still upvoted it.
AND I have a question - how does being LESS invisible than normal give you a stealth bonus?
AND I keep seeing the same items and it makes me less inclined to be charitable. Is that, I wonder, a positive or negative result of this voting method?

You are forgetting the awesome might of Use Magic Device. "Paladin-only" is not very limiting, honestly, since any class can make a UMD check to pretend to be a paladin.

If your idea is that you made something up, and I as the GM have to figure out how it works, then you get the NO.
(Casey: if that's the item I think it is, I always downvote it even against utter gibberish. Fair? No. It's my thing about adjudication - if everyone at the table is going to fight about how it works, I can't upvote it)
