Hello all, just curious Ive read a few posts, but some of the info seems to contradict itself, so I ask exactly what I'm looking for...
Can you, as a monk, take both the Qinggong and the Master of Many Styles archetypes on the same character. Im looking at building a Brawler/Monk and like both of those monk archetypes.
Second, Do the monk and Brawler levels stack in regards to any class abilities of either class? Unarmed Damage, Movement speed, etc.
Thanks in advance.

monk and brawler have nothing stack ability wise. your powers are only calculated from the one class.
qinggong can be with any monk archetype combo because all of it is "may" so anything another archetype trades you can't trade, and you can't get those abilities from qinggong, but you can combine it with anything.

I agree with most of this, but why wouldn't a Qinggong be able to trade out a higher level ability to get a lower level one back?
For instance, why wouldnt a Tetori Qinggong be able to get high jump at lvl7? Tetori trades out high jump. As a Qinggong, you could get it instead of wholeness of body.

No, It's specifically states you cannot replace an ability traded out with Qinggong in the FAQ that clarifies that you can take Qinggong with other archetypes.
Note that if the second archetype replaces a standard monk ability, the character cannot select that replaced ability at a later monk level. For example, the qinggong/healing hand monk can never select wholeness of body, even at a level higher than 7th. In effect, the character has selected wholeness of body at 7th and immediately replaced it with a healing hand ability; as the qinggong archetype only lets you select an ability later if the character "selects a different ki power in place of a standard monk ability" (which didn't occur), that option is not available for the character

Thanks for the link. I thought that Qinggong was also a path for getting loved abilities back. oh well. Guess my Tetori is taking deny death @ lvl7 instead of high jump :P
