tmz suggests she is for suggesting people need to 'Pray for Gaza'
At over five hundred civilians dead, they need something more realistic than an all powerful yet oddly uncaring god.

Selena Gomez probably heard that people were killed in a place called Gaza, so she said something that sounds like she cares.
But let's give her the benefit of the doubt. Let's say she knows who the factions are and why they are killing each other and that she does care. Even then civilians were killed, that's always a bad thing, no matter which side they "belong to". It's neither pro-hamas nor anti-israeli/semitic to care about that.

Maybe, just maybe if they stopped killing Israeli (and American) citizens and firing rockets into Israel and sending in human bombs, then Israel would stop sending in their army to retaliate.
Maybe if they stop killing palestine citizens and stealing their land they stop firing rockets.

How about we pray for peace on both sides of the conflict rather than trying to place blame, huh? Why pray for only one side?
I know the facts about this, and I know who I support and who is retaliating and has the moral high ground, but I want peace so people don't have to worry about a rocket hitting them while they're on the playground.

Yes, pray for peace, and when that fails,
work for peace.
I would suggest that praying for peace and working for peace go hand in hand.
I do agree that we should pray for both sides...even if you are Israeli. You know, the whole, "pray for your enemy thing"? Or maybe I'm injecting too much Christ into this scenario. I can't claim thats in the Talmud.

Unlike Christianity, which attempts to be a universal, humanity encompassing religion, the Jewish faith is "race-centric" (racist). So, any Jewish victory is viewed as a sign of God's help, and any loss is a punishment. It's all about the Jews. The idea of praying for non Jews is not very common among the Jewish religious.

So, uh...who is Selena Gomez?
That is the proper response to her really stating anything.
I don't really know why i know this but she used to be the lead actress in a Disney soap, and is or was the girlfriend of Justin Biebe (which in turn could be taken to mean that she actually is antisemitic, considering the stuff that came out of that kid's mouth, but would not be a necessary consequence and especially purely based on the statement its still not a rational conclusion)

Am I the only one on this thread who acknowledges that disagreement with the current policies of the Israeli government is not a form of anti-semitism? The most recent presidential elections, for example, gave the president-elect only about 55% of the vote.
Not at all.
it's just a popular thing to label any disagreement with a political group consisting of a "minority" is autmatically bigotry.
Don't agree with israeli government? Antisemite
Don't agree with feminists? Misogynist
Don't agree with MRA? Misandrist
Don't agree #CancelColbert? Racist etc.
