Bard Multiclass (Scotland the Brave)

Advice

Shadow Lodge

First time I've seen a mini and thought...I have to build around that.

I found a pretty awesome bagpiper mini and want to build a bard/fighter type.

My idea is that he will be trained in the Scottish martial art of Fek Yu (mostly headbutting and biting).

My problem is what type of multiclass...

Thoughts on Monk (drunk monk archetype would fit thematically, but others useful?) vs unarmed fighter vs the new brawler.

Thanks in advance!

Why multiclass at all? What do you hope to get out of multiclassing? The bard can be a powerful martial combatant without multiclassing. Taking fighter levels slightly increases your martial power, but greatly reduces your effectiveness as a bard. In most cases multiclassing gimps your character. This is one of those situations. That said, since it's a concept character, choose whatever floats your boat :-)

Liberty's Edge

I agree with Magda, Bard tends to lose more than it gains as a Multi class.

But if you are really hell bent on it, than perhaps the Drunken Rager barbarian would fit.

Check out the Skald in the ACG playtest. It seems perfect for what you are looking for.
