I think I'm going to meet that infamous Trotskyite goblin Doodlebug for a drink Tuesday after class. I have my sights on a game shop in Cambridge I might visit that day as well.
Of course, I might have to scuttle that trip if I get a chance to work with my project partner on my assignment. Not due until 3/1, but I'm not usually available on campus, and I want to wrap it up as quickly as possible.

I hope you get to hang with Doodlebug,
But as I tell my kids "Schoolwork first!"
(Yeah, not that they listen,...) ;P
HAve fun! :)
Well, Doodle will be after class. Game shop will be before, assuming I don't have a powwow on my project
I've decided to make my own thread, since AZ ain't coming back here. If you want to chat it is here: The Monkey's Treefort
And, once again, my decision to abandon this now toxic section of the boards, made so by far too many pathetic, little, scum-sucking a**+&&$s, has proven correct.

Yeah, the spammers ARE pretty bad.

But I won't. We should keep our relationship professional.
If you consider my post spam...well, you're probably correct. Sadly, I lose my temper sometimes in regards to the douchebags who I feel have ruined this place. We can't all be perfect....
Nah, I was talking about the Chinese spammers trying to get their search hits up by flooding the forums with spam threads. I hate seeing the entire Recent Threads sidebar taken up with gibberish.
I feel like slumming this morning. So here I am.
Crappy weather so far this week, but not nearly as crappy as they were initially making it out to be.
I used to only occasionally weep for humanity.
I really need a second cup of coffee.
Ok, that's enough slumming.
Woohoo! Zombeh Apocalramble!
Took my boy to Space City Comic Con here in Houston over the weekend. He loved it. I enjoyed myself just by seeing how much he enjoyed it, although I was rather disappointed in the distinct lack of organized comic book vendors who might have back issues I'm searching for.
Also, bought my boy some LARP worthy katanas. He wanted some 'Leonardo swords' and so I figured might as well get him non-real ones which looked real and could take a beating.
And, of course, when I saw the replica Mjolnir, I had to get it for myself.
There was a Mecha-video game company at the con. They had a setup with about 7 or 8 pods you could get in and fight each other. The boy and I did it, but got our asses handed to us. No matter. He thought it was awesome.
The Turtles were there. The boy got his picture taken with them, and a piece of art signed by Raph.
We got a fish. The boy picked him out. The girl got to name him. His name is George.
There was bacon-wrapped smoked pork loin. It was delicious. I used maple bacon and maple wood. Marinated it overnight in Coca-Cola, onion, and minced garlic. Seasoned it with Slap-Ya-Mama and dark brown sugar.
Of course, the bacon was then used in the red beans. Along with some of the left over pork.
My mother is flying in to Houston tomorrow. She's staying for a few days with my younger brother and his wife, to help them out with something. I'll be picking her up from the airport, since her flight arrives around when I get off from work, and the airport is relatively close to my office.
Tuesday morning slumming.....
Ok, that's enough of that.
Did you ever see my response to your previous slumming?
TriOmegaZero wrote: Did you ever see my response to your previous slumming? Possibly. To be certain, I'd have to scroll up and check. That would require more effort than I care to expend.
Oh man, I feel that. Finished Phoenix Comicon and already working on the next convention.
On the radio this morning, the DJs were discussing a recent report that said young people (teenager, I think) were having less sex, drinking less booze, and doing less drugs. My first thought, much the same as the men on the radio - What the f~++ are parent's doing wrong?
Probably getting their kids hooked on other things like books, Pathfinder, or exercising.
Or texting and social media.
And Minecrack. Can't forget that one.
Can't grind out the quests all f$$#ed up. You need to stay sharp for the big raid tonight.
Thanks to a fraternity brother, I have discovered a wonderful new page on The Book of the Face.
It's called Egypt VR. They post 360 shots of various locals in Egypt (so far I've seen the Tomb of Ramses VI and a fortress in Alexandria). Whichever way you turn your phone, it looks, kind of like your standing in that one location.
Really cool.
My poor co-worker. Over the weekend he was riding his bicycle with a big group. He and another dude in the group crashed somehow. So now my co-worker is in the hospital: pelvic fractured in four places, two compression fractures in his vertebrae, and a multitude of broken ribs.
It's so sad, I shall now compose a sonnet expressing my sorrow at the injustice the universe inflicts on bicycle enthusiasts.
Or...not.
Because I don't know how to write a f&+~ing sonnet.
Curse my sudden realization of the extent to which I lack literary skills.
I guess I'll have to be content with signing the card we send him, preferably with some amusing turn of phrase.
Plus, feelings are for the weak. Kind of like sleep. And funyuns.
Before coffee: I hate everybody.
After coffee: I feel good about hating everybody.
That's not entirely true. I love all God's children.
Apparently, I seem to be coming to the end of my self-imposed exile from the Off-Topic Section. Maybe. We'll see.
