For the new players:
The Pathfinder Society sent you to check on the group stranded in Belhaim and to find out why it takes the group so long to return. You were told to help them finish their duties and send Hans and Ting immediately to the lodge in Cassomir, they are needed for another job.
You arrive in Belhaim and the townspeople tell you that the Pathfinders are in the monastery nearby and about to kill a dragon.

Gavin_Gossamar |

Ditto. Just checking in myself. Understood that we just had a holiday weekend, but I'm pushing a week since my last post (waiting for next actions), and just making sure DM doesn't think I'm not checking in daily.

Lettu "Wings" Kan |

Well, I'm already a two-handed melee guy so... :) Changing the character because you want to avoid looking like another build, and end up with something similar, will be a little counterproductive to say the least. I'd say for you to play what you want to play, my friend ;)

Gavin_Gossamar |

I say... you as the player should play whatever character you feel you would have the most fun with. Either way is fine with me, but I might point out that the DM did select your original character and all of us for a reason and perhaps it might be best to trust in his/her judgement.

Jastheriga |

Ok, I will leave him as is.
He'll probably never be as good of an archer as Gavin. However he also has the inquisitor abilities and a familiar for scouting. Though a hawk won't be the best indoors scout, outdoors he can fly high and keep an eye on the area (plus is seemed pretty thematic for a tengu).
I should have plenty of time to read at least most of the campaign this weekend. But an in-character summary of what you think we need to know right away might be reasonable.

If I'm not mistaken Ting and Hans left the following:
Oil of Keen Edge x2
Potion of Undetectable Alignment
Potion of Protection From Acid
Potion of Protection From Fire
Flametongue - Ting Tang
Ring of Protection +2
Ring of Strength Sapping
+1 Acid Resistance Light Steel Shield
Arrow of Dragon Slaying
+1 Bane(Dragon) Arrow x10
+3 Breastplate of Luck
+1 Keen Mighty [+2] Composite Longbow
+2 Bane(Dragon) Transformative Longsword
Gold Circlet
+1 Glammered Full Plate
Amulet of Natural Armor +2
Plus some stuff Felicitas kept.

Jastheriga |

I WANT IT ALL!
I'd suggest:
Gavin get the arrow of dragon slaying (he's a better archer than me)
Gavin and I split the to dragon bane arrows
I could wear the breastplate and use the shield, but won't be nearly as sneaky if I do. Does anyone else normally wear medium armor or use a shield?
Either of us could use the bow. It is a bit better than what we have.
I wouldn't mind the ring or amulet for better protection.
The potions could be a help for any of us.

Lettu "Wings" Kan |

I'm interested in the natural armor necklace and ring of protection, as a frontline fighter.

Gavin_Gossamar |

nothing I'm too worried about keeping for myself. Agreed with Jastheriga: I will accept the dragon slaying arrow and 5x dragon bane arrows. Everything else can be added to the "sell and split" pile as far as I'm concerned.

Jastheriga |

Gavin, the breastplate is probably better than your hide armor (unless you want to keep it for RP reasons) since you don't have ranks in stealth.
Gavin, if you don't want it, I will take the bow for the keen property. Wings, you can have my bow for when you need a ranged weapon. It is adaptive so can take advantage of your strength.
Wings, the full plate is slightly better than yours since it is glamoured.
If no one else wants them, I can take the flametongue and shield for when I'm not sneaking and need some protection or a magic weapon.
The ring of strength sapping might be a good way to start a fight with a rogue or wizard type with a poor fort save. Anyone else want it?
I don't mind the guy I will be hiding behind having the ring and amulet.
You guys should divvy up the potions.
Note: It sounds like I'm ending up with a bunch of this just because I might be willing to use them. But if we get a chance to sell for more effective stuff, that is fine with me.

Gavin_Gossamar |

@Jastheriga - Yes to both role play and preferring to avoid the armor penalty. The dragonhide armor I wear is a sense of pride, sort of a trophy showing off his success at killing "dragons".
Take the bow. Likewise, mine is adaptive to take advantage of strength bonus, and that one only has a +2 strength.

Lettu "Wings" Kan |

Ok... I edited my sheet, thanks. I think I'm fascinated, by the way. We can sell my "old" +1 full plate if no one needs it :)

Lettu "Wings" Kan |

I'm flying back home today - please don't expect anything from me on the next days, I'll be busy getting things round :) have fun during the while guys!

GM Baerlie, I'm sorry for this, but its been a month of real time to get through about a round of combat. This is just moving a bit slower than I had hoped. It's hard to get into character or the story if nothing advances. I know we recently advanced a round, but I don't think the speed is going to pick up. I think I will be dropping out for now, thank you for allowing me into the game and good luck.

Since this is a long module there are three Chronicles for playing the whole module. You'd get the third of the Chronicles which is still 3XP and 4PP. You may apply this Chronicle to a level 5, 6 or 7 character, which means you have to wait for your level 1 or 2 character to hit level 5 before you can apply the Chronicle to this character.

Hmm. Isn't there some kind of option to apply higher level chronicles to lower-level characters with reduced gold? Would that apply here?
Not sure I want any of my characters to make that big a jump. Probably still in-- maybe for no credit.
Regardless, what party role most needs to be filled? I see you have neither divine caster nor arcane caster, but you have archer and melee pretty well covered.

Thanks!
As far as characters go, I have a Wizard that will hit 5 as soon as his current pbp finishes. I'll be applying these chronicles to him. I'm happy to duplicate him or fire up a copy of another character with a more appropriate class if needed.
I also have a 5th level sorcerer that is all GM credit that I've been dying to play. She is Core, however. Not sure if that would work. I suppose I could copy her and remove the restrictions and then apply the credit to the wizzie.

Lettu "Wings" Kan |

Hey guys,
I apologize in advance, but I will have to step down for a while from my activities here in the Paizo forums. It will be at least some good months before I can come back.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I hope your games continue fun!

Al'Khain |

Another one bites the dust. :-/
That is a lot of gear you have there, Lettu. Should I have more than standard level 5 WBL?
EDIT: Initial crunch is up now. A few i's to dot and t's to cross yet. Not sure I'm happy with my equipment purchases. I really want Keen on the greatsword, but I think I *need* the better cloak and armor better.

Al'Khain |

Ugh. Oracles are not proficient with greatswords. I forgot about that. I looked desperately for a full BAB* class that can start with a wolf animal companion and found only the Wild Child Brawler... Which isn't proficient with Greatswords either.
*I'm not mixing two partial BAB classes unless our GM is allowing fractional BAB progression from Unchained.
So now I'm looking at trading Power Attack (sad day) for proficiency with either Greatsword, Nodachi, Bastard Sword, or Katana. If I do one of the eastern weapons I'll re-spec gear and make it keen. If I do one of the exotic weapons I'll be getting it oversized--the -2 for being too big is sort of like the power attack penalty anyway.
Regardless, should be ready to go by the time we find another replacement.
