What do you mean by explorer? If you mean scout, you should be fine in that role, you are very stealthy, and have access to invisibility. Finding traps may be an issue, you may want to take the seeker archetype to help with that.

Scarab Sages

I mean scout! I will take a look at the seeker and the nidalese-shadowcaster-region al-nidal but it need to be legit (paizo product.)

Correction:Shadow-caster

Is this a 25 point buy or is it just a councidence that your rolled stats ad up to a supotimal 25 points?

Scarab Sages

It a 25 points buy stat.
What is better: Shadow caster - Shadow conjuration

You have studied with the feared shadowcasters.

Benefit: Choose one spell with the shadow descriptor—from this point on, whenever you cast this spell, its effect manifest at +1 caster level.

Or magical lineage - Shadow conjuration...

One of your parents was a gifted spellcaster who not only used metamagic often, but also developed many magical items and perhaps even a new spell or two—and you have inherited a fragment of this greatness.

Benefit: Pick one spell when you choose this trait. When you apply metamagic feats to this spell that add at least 1 level to the spell, treat its actual level as 1 lower for determining the spell's final adjusted level.

This is my Umbral shadow sorceror, currently level 3 in a S&S game, He is focused on being a scout and MM, mostly silent, still MM. I figure I can Hide in shadows and snipe out the enemy not so much to kill them but provide some distraction. The rest of his spells will go to battlefield control/utility

edit: If you can pick up the cantrip "Penumbra"

Having several uneven stats is a bad deal go with 14 in dex and get con to 16. You want to spend your level ups on cha. IMOP.

I like magic linage best but even if you Pick the other one you will have a trait that dosent do anything for several levels and that goes out of fashion when the Spell does. A sneeky option, if you play with retraining, is not to take a magic trait. And Pick the feat extra traits then you May be able to restrain your magic linage Spell if your GM likes Gorgonzola.
