Millenium apparently had a bad experience with a local ... Venture LT? Anyway, the guy who was supposed to run things here. I didn't get details, but I guess the guy just didn't show up a few times, so they stopped supporting OP.
Wouldn't have been a VL. As far as I know, I'm the first CNY VO, and I haven't spread to Rochester yet, but thanks for the heads up. Its a shame they had a bad experience; I had planned on making Millenium the anchor store for PFS in the Rochester area, given its reputation. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me.
Ed, any inroads you make with Millenium's opinions regarding Paizo and Organized Play will be much appreciated!
From what I understand (thanks to JBiggs in this thread), Mind Games in Oneida (East of Syracuse and the only game store I'm aware of between here and the Capital Region) stopped carrying Paizo products at all!

This announcement explains how a retail store can sign up.
The store receives the Organized Play Scenarios for free. They are also made available to stores 1 month before they are released for sale to the public. Thus hopefully bringing players who want to play the scenarios into the store.
If the store is in the US, they can also receive a free base set copy of the game for the store.
There are no promo cards associated with organized play.
