Versitility or Pure Damage: A Barbarian Alchemist Build

Advice

Ive been invited to a Carrion Crown game. The group already consist of two arcane spellcasters (both powerful), one magus (can tank and deal damage), and Fighter (Dragoon).
I made a Barbarian (Drunken Brute), Alchemist. I was thinking of going alchemist for 6 levels to get the wings discovery. I was not going to take any archetypes for alchemist that would give me more melee combat strength because I wanted to keep bombs for diversity. But I wonder if the diversity is worth it, and if I should just go vivisectionist for sneak attack or another archetype that delivers damage.

Build So far is Svetocher Dhampier: Barbarian 2, Alchemist 5
str 19, dex 14, con 12, int 14, wis 10, cha 12

feats: Dodge, Extra Rage, Power Attack, Toughness

Discoveries: feral mutagen, infusion

Rage Power: Moment of Clarity

Also using a +1 furious great sword

I'm mainly looking for advice if I should change the alchemist, but if you think I should take other feats, discoveries or rage power I would appreciate what you have to say.

Thanks

I've been playing a urban barbarian / alchemist. I have good combat ability with little effort and lots of options just as vanilla alchemist. Vivi just seems over the top IMO , bombs are fun too ;).

I'm playing a drunken brute barbarian/grenadier alchemist for PFS, and he's grand fun.

I don't believe you need to end rage in order to drink an extract, though you probably do to make a bomb.

I'm not sure I'd take feral mutagen if you're not going to be a vivisectionist; with Power Attack, it's probably more efficient to just pump Strength as much as possible and use a two-handed weapon. Then again, I'm specifically avoiding the more body horror-ish elements of the alchemist class with my character, so if that's something you want to focus on, it makes sense.

I picked up Iron Will as a feat and don't regret it at all. Barbarian and alchemist both have poor Will saves, and you don't want to turn around and murder your party.

Thanks for the advice I'm liken the grenadier archetype might be helpful to keep with the diversity of the build.

I'd start each fight by slamming a mutagen and then flying into rage. If you build your warrior as a standard two handed fighter he'll be ridiculously powerful.

At full buff you could be walking around with 27 str, that's a +9 bonus, meaning your two handed attacks inflict 13 bonus damage, more with power attack. I'd take grenadier alchemist for the ability that lets you coat weapons in alchemical substances and then slaughter all in my path.

Edit: Dont forget the furious focus feat, it's free damage. Also, superstition is possibly the best rage power.

Losing out on Brew Potion kinda sucks, but since I'm playing PFS I wasn't going to get it anyway. The martial weapon proficiency is a waste if you already have barbarian levels, too, so that's a double hit. Still, getting good stuff instead of the poison abilities, which are way out of character for my concept, is gold. I picked up three discoveries at 3rd level (barb1/alch2). I took Infusion and Extra Discovery (Explosive Bomb) in addition to the Precise Bombs you get from grenadier.
