Vale leads the way with Forest's light washing around the corners as he goes. Vale comes upon an intersection of several tunnels coming together. A small cave revealed by Forest to his left has a lizard in it. The thing, about the size of a small dog steals up next to the wall as sparks of electricity crackle across its back. Vales also spots one to his left down a tunnel and says as much. "It should be ok, we're going to the right." He continues moving to the right when Forest's light falls on a pair of lizards in the walkway. Vale gets down on one knee and clicking his tongue and making a shooing gesture he tries to get the lizards to move on. The nearest one hisses at him and electricity crackles down its back.

"Well, I've never been any good at that. I don't suppose any of you can influence animals can you? If we can keep from upsetting them we should be able to get through here relatively easy. They nest back here though and if we get them mad we may have a fight on our hands."

Vale throws the door open, obviously concealed from the other side. You hear a gasp and are yourselves surprised. Inside you see hanging silk curtains and scarves, red rugs, a bed in the corner, and a woman rising from a chair next to a small table. "Well," she says rather pleasantly, "To whom do I owe the honor?" She is a tall woman with flame red hair, exquisite green eyes, and statuesque features. She wears a red dress with a green vest crossed by a black belt from which dangle a rapier and a dagger.

Kizzy continues her bardic performance, and gives a battle cry (+1 Morale att, +4 morale ST vs fear); then casts haste on Forest, Vale, Runt, Isabella as their previous encounters with snakeladies have not gone well.

Battle Cry:
Swift action = +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against fear. This effect lasts for 1 minute. If an ally is under the effect of this feat and fails a saving throw, she can choose to end the battle cry’s effect on her to reroll the failed save against a fear effect. The ally must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s lower. Each ally can use this effect only once per use of this feat.

Papers from the barge? What papers? Forest hadn't been paying much attention to the barge, but if this lady isn't with Vale, then she's with the ogres. Her transformation into a snake confirms it. He moves up to the dangernoodle and swings his longsword. His attack is well wide but, remembering how deadly the other snek's spear was, the ranger is focused on defense, his strike with his sword prodding at her defenses while he decides if he needs to try and disarm her. "I'm gonna kill you, your stupid sister, and all your ogre friends!"

Brief though their encounter had been, the ranger has a keen eye and good instinct, and he is ready for her snaky tricks. "None of you are leaving here alive!" The giant scorpion fails to penetrate Lucretia's defenses and she is laughing for a short moment until Forest lays into her. As Forest tears into her she screams in pain and anger. Vale swings away with his axe and manages to get her again (12 dmg) causing her to rage all the more.
