Advanced Class Guide Iconics?

Pathfinder Society

Has anyone heard anything about an expansion of the iconic pregens to include the classes from the Advanced Class Guide after that's released? I know it's unlikely, considering there aren't PFS pregens for all the existing base classes, but after reading a few of the write-ups that they're doing on the blog, I was curious.

It's also possible that they won't simply because the classes are more complicated, and the pregens are intended to be fairly newbie-friendly.

It's probably on their list of things To Do once they find the mythical beast known as "free time", but seeing as how they don't have the APG iconics yet...

We're also missing the Magus pregen, pregens currently only exist of Core and Ultimate Combat for PFS.

Well, given that the pregens in the Free RPG Day module (coming out next weekend!) are made up of these classes, I wouldn't be surprised to see new iconic pregens for general PFS play in the near-ish future. Then again, the Oracle and Witch were both featured in another Free RPG Day module as pregens, and we don't have pregens for general play for them, so it's entirely possible we won't.

I, for one, look forward to extrapolating their stats for the standard levels (1, 4, 7, 12) and posting them on the pathfindercommunity.net site one way or another, though I still need to finish some of the Advanced Players' Guide ones!

Maybe if we hope really hard, Mike and John will make it happen!

When the APG was originally released, there were PFS pregen sheets for the iconics to support the book. When UC was released, the same was done and the APG pregens were removed. It would not surprise me if something similar happens with the ACG. Some or all of the iconics might be released as pregens for PFS in level 1, 4, & 7 versions and the UC pregens could be removed.

All of the ACG iconics at all of the regular PFS pregen levels will be done and released by Gen Con.

So speaketh the Word of God.

I'm not aware of any plans to "retire" the other iconics, however. Indeed, there are a few of them we skipped along the way, and we'd like to finish those, too.

Woohoo! That's awesome! Thanks for the update, Erik. Very much appreciated.

That's great news, Erik! I'm hoping to see new players try out ACG pregens.

IIRC, the APG pregens were removed because they were built, like the previous CRB pregens, with some serious issues, possibly including, agin, IIRC, being 15 point buys instead of 20 point buys.

Do remember, though, that some pregens require more upfront work with the players than others do, like the CRB Druid, with an animal companion, or even explaining how TWF works for the Valeros pregen. At least the new Valeros includes the single weapon attack stats, now.

So, are the iconics still coming before GenCon?

Can the swashbuckler iconic get her fencing grace in? Harsk debacles turn players off to the game.

We have the new pregenerated characters debuting at Gen Co Indy today. I expect we will see them publically available soon after the convention.

Hope these pregens come out soon. I'd really like to have them for my players. I just downloaded the current version of the pregens and it's not in the packet.

Thanks,

Kizan
