After the landrush kicked off, I've barely been visiting these forums, because all I see is post after post of recruitment threads. I'd like to see these off in a nice location where I only see them if I want to.
Agreed. I was hoping that the new Goblinworks forums, when they come live, would have several subforums, but as I understand it, they will only feature locked alpha forums for now? I can see why they would want those locked for now, I am guessing to keep those relatively clean for people that actually play(and not be flooded with all kinds of uninformed, biased and possibly negative nonsense), but was hoping that there would also be a General Forum and a few subforums already.
Interesting idea, but if there were sub-forum for recruitment, who would go there? Sure the same ol same ol advertising for their settlement and those putting down those advertisements. But none of the potential recruits would go there. They want to see more meaty information, just like you. Then the recruitment would reappear here in thin disguise of something else.
Only KotC should be allowed to do that.

Nobody is forcing you to read every single forum. If it is a recruitment forum, just skip it. Some people enjoy reading them, some don't. :-)
I can say with almost certainty that recruitment forums won't happen here on these boards since it would require Paizo staff to set them up and there would be little need since the forums are going to eventually (hopefully soon) move over to the Goblinworks site.
I just hit the little "hide" symbol on each new settlement thread. Things get a lot less cluttered.

We have talked about it with Paizo and there are some structural reasons related to their software that make that impossible at the moment. But I do agree we want something like that when we begin hosting our own forums.

Or maybe he just has enough of being forced to scroll down and go back on the last three pages to see an actual topic talking about the game.

"We are going to create a brand-new forum system on goblinworks.com. Initially that forum will be accessible only to Alpha Testers. That will be the place for them to provide direct feedback to the developers. As you are invited to join the Alpha Test, you'll also be able to access those forums. By the time we get to Early Enrollment, all the Early Enrollees will have access to those forums. When we make them generally accessible will be something we'll consider at a later date."
