i have never read much Lovecraft (okay none besides picking it up at a bookstore trying it and putting it back) however i really like what Pathfinder has done with it:) and i would like to add more love craft elements to the hungry storm for a second go at it, and i was wondering what new love craft elements/side quests or monsters would you add?
Nightgaunts are going somewhere!
also my players have high stats (but not very optimal tactics) so a higher CR is okay:)

I added a scene where the group met a Yithian trying to dig out a Shoggoth that was frozen in ice. The Yithian had language difficulties communicating with the PCs. "Self-same acknowledges the other-self. Anomalous carbon processing unit survival state in low-kinetic environment is noted. The dormant amorphous consumer entity is viable but in abeyance. Its unrestricted activities must be noted through a process of rigorous inquiry."

You might want to check out Under Frozen Stars, the add-on adventure that I wrote to supplement The Hungry Storm. It includes more of the Lovecraftian and sci-fi elements (including a shantak and morlocks) and sets the stage for a much more robust city at the top of the world. It may be a good fit for what you want to add.
