I'm wondering how people have seen it used, or ideas. Also, is it worth it for a 1st level bard, or should I wait a few levels?
1. Hook around someone's shoe laces to cause person to be tripped and effectively chained to ground (?)

2. Put a note right in a monsters mouth, impairing bite attacks or breath attacks if its of substantial size to block the airway, and read up on suffocation rules.
3. Improvised ballgag for those Calistrian Holidays.
4. Fighting a martial? Cast this high up in sky, disarm the weapon and hang it out of his reach.

6. Sharp pointy thing. When w enemy inning down a hall way or narrow ally, make the not spiky and at neck level. Hopefully your gm will give you good damage dice :)
7. Making your opponents laugh themselves to death.
8)Hold a door closed
9) paperweight.
10. Keep a door open (especially when bad guy trying to close it)
