What is it to be Evil in Golgotha?
So Golgotha is currently doing rather well in the landrush, but as I hope many of you other up and coming settlements are, we are always hungry for more. With that in mind, I think it might be helpful for anyone on the fence about joining Golgotha to hear about one of our more defining differences when compared to the other large groups; our alignment choice.
So what does it mean when we say Golgotha is evil? Perhaps more importantly, what doesn't it mean? For one, Golgotha will be willing to do whatever it takes short of griefer tactics to get what it wants or needs. If we are bordering on a small settlement that we believe we could use, and we don't have ongoing diplomatic ties with its owner, we will not hesitate to attempt a takeover. The morality of taking their property will not come into the decision; we need the land, they have the land, we are stronger, that land should be ours. If we find ourselves lacking in food, and we happen to border a series of plains PoI that we feel we can raid, then we will do so.
But we are not a caricature. We aren't the kind of people to stand on a pedestal and monologue as the heroic do-gooders go about foiling our plans. We aren't the kind of people to backstab our allies on a whim, or double cross a trusted trader for a bit of coin and a laugh. We are evil, but we aren't stupid. If you make a deal with Golgotha we will follow it to the letter of the agreement; we might try and push things into our favour, but we will always do what we say we will.
We also aren't the kind of people that will be going on the aggressive for no reason whatsoever. Our actions will be guided by calm, careful decision making, at least on the macro level. We might not particularly agree with the policies of some other settlements, but that doesn't give us enough reason to go after them; by doing so we would be introducing weakness on our own part, reducing our ability to properly react elsewhere. Don't mistake this for a lack of willingness to fight, more that we want to apply our power where it can best benefit us.
We have a good foundation to build on with our current membership, but we need more if we are going to follow through with our plans. If you are interested in being a part of a military force unbound by moral weakness, willing to do whatever it takes to get what it needs, then join Golgotha today. We know that every army marches on its stomach, and we have a deep respect for those willing to fill them.

I am overjoyed to hear you say this. PFO needs expansionist, tyrannical, cruel, cold, and unflinching Evil (with a capital 'E'), and I'm glad to see you embrace that mantle. I'd say I wish you luck, but I'll have to see where you end up on the map first :)
