Psionic is a flavor casting on equal term as arcane and divine magic. Beside pathfinder already have something close to psychic :word casting. Change to mental components only whit some buzz and humm and voilà, a pionic system has spung out in 30 seconds flat. As for the warrior : magus and bards.
Running out of beer now, i need more BEER!
Forgot name a feat so any "psionic" can go fetch powers from any power list ... word list in this matter. Replacer spellbook whit psicristal. Summonners name whit shapers. Clerics as psichosurgon. Bards as mind singer (or Britney Spears). Barbarians as wildsuger. Druids are metapsionicist switching their animals description as translucent phisical evocation of its mind.
I really tought the prime purpose of table top rpg was to use one imagination and creativity to bring forth life to pc stories. *sob* Damn you Sony and ps4!
Before i throw my tv by the Windows, i goon-a'roll that psion blaster and burn a bunch of goblin whit my power of mindblast of searing blaze [fire] for 10 d 6 fire dmg. BURN DANDY. BURN!
P.s.:no Windows were killed during the writing of this post. The ps4 just got engaged whit the rooter. The beer has totally suffer as well as thoses goblins wich i ran out of both for my own delight.
N.B.: i really have no clues as what a "dandy" may be beside a crocodile (no pun there).

If Paizo did psionics (well, psychics), then it would have to have something unique to it to justify its existence. It can't just be a reflavoring of what we already have because, after all, we can do that ourselves, right?
Something I've always wondered. What does someone with an aversion to reflavoring do when nothing more than a name stands in their way? I mean, there's no Knight class. We have Ninjas but no Pirates. Do those sorts of characters just not exist until the RPG comes out with classes with those names?
Sorry, tangent. Anyway, it has to be unique. Arcane spells are impeded by armor but come with no strings attached. Divine magic has no problem with armor. If I were to make psionics into psychic magic, it would have to emphasize the "mind as source" aspect.
I'd let psychics work regardless of armor, though the classes might not gain armor proficiency. Also, I'd have psychics work with built-in component-ignoring. A psychic should be able to work his craft by sheer will alone. So a psychic could cast a power (I'm not calling them spells) without a somatic component or a verbal component (and any material component better be a crystal or some such). Maybe it takes longer, just like with a metamagic feat, and it should definitely come at the cost of effectiveness (maybe a decrease in caster level or save DC or both or more), but this should be an automatic feature of psychic magic.
Kind of like the Force in Star Wars. Obiwan is perfectly capable of using Mind Trick without wiggling his fingers, but doing that as well acts as a mnemonic trigger, helping him to remember how to use the Force in that manner. Could he Mind Trick without the fingers? Sure, but it wouldn't be as automatic and it would lose effectiveness, though that wouldn't have mattered against the Sandtrooper.
So that's what I imagine for Paizo psychics. Unless they do the right thing and just let Dreamscarred's work stand instead.
One other thing. If psychic magic has to use power slots as opposed to mana pool, that's fine, but not one class better have the Vancian "fire and forget" schtick. Ugh!

They DO. The only issue with Dreamscarred's work is that you can't use it for PFS, and that is a practical restriction which makes sense. They give you all the blessing you would need to use it in your home campaigns.

I see psychic as power fueled by the own mind of the caster. Divine power come from chancelant the essence of a diety. And arcane power as harnessing the raw power of the multiverse. It once been described as such and whould be nice if pf whould make them as such and not something alien looking again.
Star war use of psichic is awsome. An athromorfic pile of goey cotton candy is not so cool.
Rolling power DC from 3. 0 was great feel of something less static as magic was. Still flavor over steady power. Damn my gm hated when i rolled 17+ for my cheap daze on his overgrown tpk ogre again and again.

Easiest way to implement most of that is a modification of the Magus Arcane Pool or Gunslinger Grit mechanic.
Use the points to Augment powers and/or gain additional castings.
I see the 'main' class set as; (3.5 example)
A total Mental control 'caster (Psion)
An emotional/self-harming 'caster (Wilder)
A Martial/'Caster [Psychic Magus] (Psychic Warrior)
I would love to see a Soul Knife... but don't see a great need.
With a core of tree three classes you would be hard pressed to make a full book, even with a full power list...
