Fire Domain Druid Questions

I've started a campaign with some friends...recently a discussion has come up regarding my abilities and I would like to have some opinions on the issue.

What fire spells when cast should hurt the caster?

And if so, when?

Feel free to search druid spells and cleric fire domain spells. I just want to get other views on this.

Huh? If a caster is blasting and is in the AoE of any of his spells he takes damage.

I it is targeted you don't take damage. If you cast aoe and you are in the area you target you also take damage but if you are not in the area you target you don't take damage

I don't know of any problems with the Fire Domain specifically or Druids generally.

Can you summarize the argument for us?
