The Evil Eye has nothing to do with Evil in the alignment sense - it's an ancient concept that has always gone by roughly that name.

Think of "Evil" in this case as a synonym for "baleful," "ominous," "deleterious," or just "unlucky" - not something you want happening to YOU.


For those of you looking to make a good witch, but finding available hexes distasteful or underwhelming, I have a list of improved hexes.

I kind of like "Ominous Glare" as a substitute name...

to go more into the linguistics of this, evil is being used as an adjective. it's trying to describe something as negative that it really.
