Wildshape and Extraordinary abilities

Rules Questions

Can a druid use the extraordinary abilities/attacks of a creature its shaped into? For example, if a druid wildshapes into a narwhal which has the extraordinary abilities Tusk and Hold breath, could a druid use these? it would seem kinda ridiculous if it couldn't, as one is a 5ft spear growing out of its head...how can they be the unicorns of the seas without it?

Depending on which level of Wild Shape/Beast Form you are using, you gain the following:
(Beast Shape IV)
"If the form you assume has any of the following abilities, you gain the listed ability: burrow 60 feet, climb 90 feet, fly 120 feet (good maneuverability), swim 120 feet, blindsense 60 feet, darkvision 90 feet, low-light vision, scent, tremorsense 60 feet, breath weapon, constrict, ferocity, grab, jet, poison, pounce, rake, rend, roar, spikes, trample, trip, and web. If the creature has immunity or resistance to any elements, you gain resistance 20 to those elements. If the creature has vulnerability to an element, you gain that vulnerability."

Anything outside of those, I believe are not RAW legal.

If I am incorrect, someone please correct me as I do not want to pass along inaccurate information.

No, you wouldn't get the Hold Breath ability, per beast shape rules.

Now, Tusk is basically saying if you do a charge attack, use that instead of Bite. "A charging narwhal can make a single gore attack with its tusk in place of its normal bite attack." Well, if you are a narwhal, and you specify that you are charging, then I would allow you to do this specific gore attack.

It's sort of stupid to put that as an extraordinary ability. It's just a special attack when they charge, so I'd allow that without a second thought.

Agreed. A GM should always have a hand in things, especially when it just makes sense.

You might not get hold breath, but since a narwhal has a swim speed, you gain the ability to breathe while swimming.
