Hello All,

Is there a place where I could post creatures/NPCs so the community could check the build (math/feats/skills/etc.)

Thanks

Yeah, this be the place... rules too probably.

If the creatures are home brew, the homebrew forum might also be helpful.

But yeah, NPCs would fit here.

This is true.

Also, while the Sergeant is technically correct mechanically, based on the Monster Creation rules his damage is really quite low for his CR (though his defenses are high), and he lacks real special abilities of any sort, so I'd be inclined to give him Power Attack rather than Alertness.

Also, stat-wise, the Hobgoblin Soldier should only have Int 10 using the standard array, and the Sergeant is made on 16 point-buy as well (even given his +1 from leveling) which is...weird.

EDIT:

The Veteran has the same stat issue as the Soldier, and again, I'm not sure Alertness is the best Feat available.

Why in the world is the blade-bearer in Studded Leather? And only built on 14 points? He could easily have a Breastplate and be actually effective for his CR. I mean, I guess there are armor checks, but even then a Mwk Chain Shirt works as well and adds AC. And if doing that I'd probably buy Double Slice rather than Two-Weapon Defense, just for simplicity of play (that way the two attacks are actually identical).

His Reflex Save is also a point low and I'm confused why he's not a Ranger (given that he's a lightly armored TWF guy...)

Also...looking at them all these characters have much less gear than their NPC WBL would indicate. That's fine if intentional, and doesn't make them vastly less effective at this level, but it's worth noting.

Copied most of the Stats from the Original Module with some minor adjustments...

The original RHoD Sergeant's (CR 3) melee damage was (1d10+2/19-20)

Most of the Hobgoblin 'troops' are cannon fodder.

EDIT: Gear is basic info so far it will be updated later.

@Deadmanwalking

Which one is the Soldier?

--------------------

Blade-Bearer's class and armor both come from RHoD...

Reflex +1 fighter / +3 Dex .... Doh! (AC was also off by 1)

So... change Mwk Studded Leather for Mwk Chain Shirt and swap Two-Weapon Defense for Double Slice... I like it !

Now the math...
armor bonus: +3 to +4
armor check: No change (both are masterwork armors with armor training 1)
shield bonus: +1 to none
AC 17, touch 13, flat-footed 17 (+4 armor, +3 Dex)

Melee mwk short sword +9 (1d6+5/19-20) or 2 mwk short swords +7 (1d6+5/19-20)

Sorry, I meant the Regular, my bad.
