Herolab Issues and PFS: AS at now 18 / 03 / 2014

Hi,

I thought Id post this here since a lot of people use their Herolab for their PFS characters.

I upgraded to the latest IOS for my Ipad yesterday and now guess what? Yeah you know it.. Herolab now crashes to the main screen (ie it dont workee no more).

So if you were thinking of upgrading that IOS... PUT IT DOWN and STEP AWAY!

If like me, its too late and you are reading this after the fact, well apparently it will be fixed in a few days.

If you have players who bring their ipad only to their sessions with no paper printouts for characters (because 'eww its paper') then you are either going to get a lot of people dropping out or lots of people using pregens until its resolved.

and yes, the date is logically done in DD/MM/YY. The normal way to depict a date.

You can, if you backup before updating, roll back to the previous version.

After the LAST Herolab fiasco, which only effected a few of us users I do that now.

Oh, I thought this was going to be a thread dedicated to showing herolab errors/limitations.

Like how it can't do half a PP as far as I can tell.

For the boon in <redacted> simply 'spend' -1 PP wil allow you to use the PP you regain from the <redacted>, FYI

This is very good to hear. I was holding off on updating my iPad until after this weekend as it looks like I'll be playing quite a bit this weekend.

No. The correct way to display a date is YYYY/MM/DD with the date placed at the beginning of the line so that when sorting, the dates will appear in chronological order.

Sorry to disappoint you Matthew, I cannot really complain about Herolab too much personally, It has certainly been a great piece of Software for me over the years even with it's occasional glitches.

I also forgot to say the update had been released, my bad!

Oh don't get me wrong, I use and support Herolab,

just find the occasional hiccups, like the prestige thing. I readthe title and thought "Great! A thread where we can list all of the Herolab/PFS interface bugs and LWD can reference!"

Not, "Great! A threat where we can gripe about Herolab!"

Only gripe right now is, an android reader ap, please?

I have no problems with Adobe Reader on my Nexus 5.

I think they mean an android app that can read and manipulate HeroLab .por files natively. Including adding in-play effects and such.
