2 Questions: Alchemist Explosive Missile / empty squares and enchanting magical flasks?

Rules Questions

First off, say my alchemist has explosive missile and smoke bomb. Would it be possible to target an empty space to have the arrow strike the ground and detonate the bomb?

Second, is there any way to enchant magic attributes onto flasks like ammunition? Say I want a case of +1 distance flasks for my bombs.

Thanks!

No. What you can do is target an empty intersection between 4 squares, and hit that intersection, splashing the surrounding four squares with the bomb.

You can target creatures in a square, or you can target empty intersections. (An intersection is always empty unless a size large or larger creature completely covers it.)

This pretty much applies to all splash weapons.

Technically, I suppose you could. But since they are not ammo, they would in this case be weapons. You would be talking about 8300 gp *per bomb* for a use once, non recoverable, flask. (distance is a +1 enhancement, right? too lazy to look it up)
