Posts about offensive material. Offensive?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Pathfinder takes place in a fantasy world where good and evil are not just concepts. They are an aspect of reality that you can magically seal in a jar. Sometimes reality and the game don't mesh very well. If you don't like it, don't include it in your game.

Yo dawg! We heard you like offensive threads. So, we put a thread about offensive threads in the place you put offensive threads, so you can be offended while you're relaying your offendedness on offensive threads.

4 hours, 4 trolls, while the topic can be considered quite serious

and talking dead serious - yes

The ones I've noticed based around one simple thing - using concepts, that are themselves quite commonly considered offensive when brought into the public, to pick a fight.
If someone is somewhat different in a way that is disturbing to others there's still no justification to making a display of it except to oppose being treated irrationally for something that should be of no concern to outsiders.

Turning the tables to seek out things that are offensive to offenders is not defense against injustice - that's just starting a fight, switching from defense to offense.

So yes, they're offensive.

I'm still trying to find something in Pathfinder that might be offensive to men who are into sounding. Can anyone think of anything?

And if you can -- should Paizo have been more sensitive?

Locking. Threads like this often aren't helpful and don't help foster the friendly and inviting place we'd like the messageboards to be.
