Keep in mind that you're doing 5 pts vs 7, which is actually about 70% damage, and that ratio isn't going to go up as you level, it's likely going to go down.
So when could be doing 30, you're instead doing 21.
You get a lot of stuff to up your to hit, and that will make a difference if you are getting multiple attacks. Your problem is that you're starting out with a Medium BAB, and so you're chasing monster AC's as you level. You HAVE to spend those buffs in order to be able to hit consistently.
Realistically, the double sword is your best option. You can TWF when there's a horde of schmucks, or 2H it when you need to consistently hit and do damage to an enemy.

He has bane, second judgment/ third judgement, and magic enhancements to weapons help with damage, along with buff from his spell lists that do both to hit and damage.
his damage issue was hitting, and we have showed him how to get around that
Optimal isn't always fun, and his idea was very doable inside of game rules, just not ideal

As i said, Aelryinth, i will leave it to the dice. If it does horribly, i wont bother. or i will use a light weapon in my other hand. but i really would love to see this do alright. the double sword IS the most boring thing ever. and since im tiefling now, not tengu, im not proficient with everything. I have to choose a deity with the favored weapon i want.
