Q about adding class levels as monster advancement.

Rules Questions

In the bestiary, under the section on adding class levels as monster advancement it says...

"The first step of this process is to modify the creature’s ability scores. Creatures with class levels receive +4, +4, +2, +2, +0, and –2 adjustments to their ability scores, assigned in a manner that enhances their class abilities."

MY reading of that would be that I can assign the listed ability score bonus/penalty to which ever ability score I deem best...correct ?

Also...

When adding class levels, does the monster also gain ability adjustments every four levels like a player character ?

Yes, yes.

IIRC, the monster will get a +1 every four hit dice, so a monster with 2 HD and 2 class levels gets a bonus to a stat.

Ah...so it's cumulative with racial hit die ?

Since a racial hit die is, effectively, a level in (creature type), I believe so.
