Lantern Lodge no longer playable?

I appreciate this happened a while ago, but as I only play pathfinder Society games once a year (no where near me has any stores or groups that play PFS) I was wondering why it is no longer a playable faction?

Same for both. They were retired last summer in the waning days of season 4.

Have you checked out online play for PFS?

Looks like I joined the game a year too late. Not sure which lodge to join. The Lantern seemed interesting.
