Congrats!

I imagine you'll need a copy of the Beginner Box in the next 5-10 years.

And you'll need one of these pronto.

Watch out for that. Those symbols on the creeper are all World of Warcraft symbols. I hope they got permission to use them...

Ummm... honestly? Seriously?

Again congrats and congrats to the Gersen.

To both may mother and child be healthy and hopefully no one will refer to your unborn as parasites.

Symbols next to stats are spell icons from World Of Warcraft. Not just similar to, those are exactly the graphics from the game.

Ummmm, yeah... That is truly a crime of... staggering proportions. Especially considering those shirts have been around for years now.

I'd say it is between Tiny and Small sized. They might have Blizzard's permission, it could be some sort of community use package or Blizzard might just don't care.

Too late... we already do: "How is our larva this morning?"

Congrats my friend your life just got a whole lot more interesting

It could also be that Blizzard wouldn't have anything but badwill to gain from shutting them down. It would be seen as... pretty insensitive.

You're all making me feel ancient. My oldest turns 13 today (in 28 minutes, in fact).

I am now the second-most-pitiable parent on the planet: Father of a teen boy.

(Father of a teen girl beats me, hands down.)

(Of course, my fellow gamer's son graduates college in two months, but he doesn't count, because I reserve the right to self-pity!)

Same here, NH.

My daughter turns 15 in a month.

(And, yes, she's dating. Fortunately, I approve of her girlfriend.)

Hopefully, your baby sleeps better than ours did. The first fifteen months were torture. And nearly everyone we talked to hadn't experienced anything like it with their kids. (Or they had inane advice like, 'did you give her a bottle before bed?' 'Did you rock her and change her diaper?') She's eighteen months now and sleeps great, so they can grow out of it.

Good luck and PM me if you need an understanding audience.

Our older son was a nightmare -- awake every 2 hours for the first 6 months, and his first 8-hour nap wasn't until he was over a year old. He couldn't go to sleep without his fingers in my wife's hair until he was nearly 3.

Our younger son was obviously born to make up for that -- 6 hours of sleep the first night, and he rarely slept under 8 hours a night. Wee angel child!

I'm actually old enough to have a kid in their 20s by now -- late start, is all.

Starfinder Superscriber

I don't know you but congratulations on that! Be a good Dad!

My son just turned 1. I have people I went to school that are grandparents (now I think they and their kids had children way to early, but still).

Good luck to all the parents and soon to be parents. If you can take time and spend with your children when they are fresh off the press it can be great, for mothers and fathers. If your job gives paternity leave, take it.

I was lucky enough that I was able to schedule my work for the evenings after my wife's maternity leave ended. I took care of the little guy during the days and my wife took over in the evening (it was summer and I was only working part time then).

Guys, if mom gets stressed and says, "We have to take him/her to the doctor for their cough." Just do it. Don't say, "Nah, they will be fine." Mom needs that reassurance from a professional, not some guy who barely can change a diaper.

If you and your wife are okay with breastfeeding, you should try to do it. Studies show that for each month you can breastfeed your child, their IQ increases by 1 point (ability score adjustment!). Studies also show that women who supplement breastfeeding with formula early on are more likely to stick with breastfeeding than those who try to go all gung-ho at the beginning. Hungry baby = stressed mom = gives up on breastfeeding all together.

LOL. "Ancient" is a relative term.

- I have a 13-year-old kid. That's not particularly old, because we had him when I was 33.
- We just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. Again, no big deal, because it took 5 years for me to propose, and another 2 years for my wife to prepare the wedding.
- At the end of this year, we'll celebrate our 27th "real" anniversary -- I started dating her December 15, 1987. THAT starts sounding like "real" time gone by...

stock up on disney movies, take all of your pathfinder stuff, place it in a room, put four locks on the door, keep the keys with you at all times, and purchase a gasmask

The best times of my life so far:

- Reading to my wife every night as she fed my oldest. We got through The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, the entire Chronicles of Narnia, and several more classics. Husbands who sleep through feedings are missing a grand opportunity.

- Getting laid off in 2003. Every day I would take my 2-year-old son on a walk around the block. It took at least 45 minutes as he explored every nook, cranny, crevice, small creature, and leaf on the ground. I still tear up every time I think about the wonderful warmth that was walking with him in the Spring/Summer air, watching him explore the world around him. Wonderful! Just wonderful!

- EDIT: Getting sent to L.A. to deliver training in 2002, flying my wife and 18-month-old son down, and spending a day in Disneyland watching him stare at ants. There's no feeling like deciding from the very start, "This day is for HIM, not me," and then following the little tyke everywhere, no matter how "stupid" or "silly", and marveling at the other parents driving themselves (and their kids) nuts trying to force the kid to "DO something". "I spent over $200 to get us in here, and you want to stare at ANTS?!?!?! No way, young man! We're going on RIDES, whether you like it or not!"
I refer to such things as "Daddy Death Marches" because it's almost invariably the dads that do it to their poor kids.
I figure I paid the money for my kid to have a great day. He wants to stare at ants? It's his day. Why not? And it was lots of fun, and very relaxing, and makes for a good story. "I paid $200 for my son to stare at ants. It was a blast."

Congratulations to the dads-to-be!

Oh, and remember: next Friday... is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.

That was last Friday. Next Friday is Layoff Day.

Ah, but remember all parasites start out as larvae but not all larvae grow up to be parasites. Some of them grow up to be demons... What are you hoping yours becomes? Shooting for a Balor I bet.

Besides when you do it its done affectionately.

Cheers! Congratulations!
