Two years have passed, I've ran two more half-marathons, a Spartan Super, and a number of smaller races. In less than 2 weeks I run another Spartan, and soon after another half (my last race for this year).
Planning for more Fall/Winter hikes at the moment and enjoying all the good new music around me. Beyond the Fleeting Gales by Crying just came out today and Kodama by Alcest is so beautiful.
I hope I get to post more, thread! It's been too long!
Woot! Go Roobit! Go!

Why have filoas when you can have a bowl of maple syrup, with fruit on top, and maple syrup on the side? Perfect for a beholder like me! :-)
Why choosing instead of having everything?
I've never had maple syrup, it's not a common thing here. I'd like to but I don't know where I can find it.

If you find it, look for the pure kind. Expensive, but worth it. And, of you ever go to Canada or anywhere else maple syrup is produced, go on a maple syrup farm tour thingy! It's ton of fun!
14.03 PM and I am hungry. I'd eat my own shoes if they hadn't been stepping on an hospital floor for all the day.
It has been a bad timing to read this at this time.I want maple syrup now so badly. And pancakes.
Still 1 hour until I can leave.
*Starts chewing shoe*
Tastes like bacteria. Yummy!

I don't like Maple Syrup... yeah I am weird.
Also when I make pancakes they end up more like sweet bread. No syrup needed. Butter optional.
I don't know if I'd like it, but I'd love to taste it.
At this time, I'd love to taste anything, actually. So hungry.Today I'm cooking this.
Traditional sweet here in Christmas.
A shameful attempt to make all of you feel hungry too.
Not pancakes but tasty anyway.
Now I'm even more hungry.
Just 30 minutes to be home.
EDIT 14.47: I'm out of here!!!

We didn't have real maple syrup growing up, just the cheap artificially-flavored corn syrup.
Hey, I like Mrs. Butterworth.
My favorite way to eat pancakes as a slaadling was syrup-free, just a pancake wrapped around half a piece of bacon. Mmmm... so gooooood.
Dude, my mom used to cook bacon strips right in the waffle! I think she might have had to go to confession afterwards.

My Dad makes the best pancakes I've ever tasted. It's one of the few recipes that calls for, ideally, a healthy portion of homemade yogurt in the recipe.
Literally just visited for Christmas, and now I need to go back. I blame this thread, and the great CYINAC Conspiracy (Captain Yesterday Is Not Actually Cosmo).

I've seen the recipes for cooking the bacon right in the pancake, and that seems fine to me if that's your preference. But mom always made the pancakes around 3"-4" in diameter (on a very hot skillet, so they had crispy brown perimeters), and that seems too small for most strips of bacon. I prefer the assemble-my-way version, so I can adjust the bacon to pancake ratio to my specific whims.*
