I heard that there will be released
- in August Skulls and Shackles and
- in early 2015 a new card game...
I want to buy in April at legionsupplies.com the new GenCon 2014 Promotional card sleeves for both new GAMES.
QUESTIONS:
How many card sleeves do i have to buy for both games considering i use 5 of each promo cards???
Thanks.
Michael

Each set encompasses about 1200 cards.
Hi Vic,
Today i read about the 7 new class decks which consist each of 109 cards.
Will there be new class decks introduced for the third unnamed adventure path?
I would like to buy GenConPromoSleeves right now for the next two adventure paths.
So i need around 2600 sleeves for the two paths.
770 for the 7 new class decks.
Will there more material/class decks be published for the third path?
How many sleeves do I need to cover the 2nd &3rd path with all addon cards?
Please help!
Mike

The idea is for the class decks to work with any adventure path. They eventually want to do all 31 of the Pathfinder classes, but haven't announced what or when the next thing will be.
Each class deck has 4 characters, with each character having 3 cards (Character, Token, Role). So 12 cards of the 109 are double-sided, leaving 97 single-sided cards.
Adventure Path 3 hasn't been announced yet, so there is no way to know how many of any particular card will be in it, or the exact amount. But I think Vic's comment that each Adventure Path will contain about 1200 cards will remain your best estimate.

But i heard you may mix the class deck cards into the SS base set for home play...
So in this case you have to buy the same sleeves...I like the GenCon sleeves and these are only available till end of august ...
So i have to know my sleeve count for one year ahead till the next gencon 2015...

Yes, you can mix them in. You might not need to do so though. If the character from the class deck will work well with the cards in the adventure path, you don't have to add the class deck boons in to the adventure path. But if the character will rely on a certain boon not in the class deck (for example, one of the Rogues appears to use poisons, so there might be some poison boons in that class deck), then mix in the needed boons.
I doubt Paizo will announce at this point when or which classes they will release. So you know you'll need 1200 for for the next 2 adventure paths. And 700 for the 7 class decks. Beyond that, you will probably have to take your best bet. If you think they will release more class decks in the next year, then buy some more sleeves. If you think they won't, then don't. But there is really no way to know.

Well, VIC could help me out here and could determine the number X of sleeves i have to add to the below calculation:
2 x adventure paths = 2 x 1200 (Plus 200 to be safe)7 x class decks = 7x 100
HOW MANY X sleeves do I need in addition ?
My guess would be that in february 2015 SEVEN more class decks will be released...
Please VIC just say a number what X will be, you do not have to go into details why I will need so many...
Please... Thanks a LOT

It's very possible, 8 months out from release, that they don't know for certain how many decks they will be releasing - they may well be waiting until they can see initial sales on this batch go before determining how many to sell.
I'm also pretty certain they're not going to announce their plans in a random messageboard thread.

I only need a number :)

I think you'll find that even a number is more than they give. Partly, because that simply isn't information they have. Who knows what will come 8 months from in terms of class decks. Then, there's the fact that just because a post wants the number, doesn't mean they're willing to give it. If they give a bigger number than basic knowledge would count (2 sets, maybe 7-11 more class decks), then that would tell us that something else is coming, when they don't want us to know even though we don't know what it is.

Don't forget that for your class cards, adventure cards (including scenario cards) and location cards you'll probably want clear both sides since they have text on both sides. (Already bought Ultra-Pro Clear Deck Protector sleeves that should match the size of the new Pathfinder sleeves from Ultra-Pro.)
Oh, and the Legion Supplies GenCon 2014 sleeves should be on sale in their online store this week. Got a response on their Facebook page yesterday when I asked.

So these new class decks will then be available after may?
Doesnt OP WotR start right away with the standard adv path?
If so the class decks should be available at the same time of the base set release.
The base set is already announced since months....
I think we will get a christmas gift as some sort of announcement :-)

I wonder how new classes and characters will be handled.
The current Class Decks used characters from the NPC Codex. However, that book only includes the 11 Core classes. If future Class Decks feature classes from the Advanced Player's Guide, for example, there aren't as many NPCs readily available for those.
I wonder if they would either be NPCs culled from adventures (like, an Inquisitor Class Deck would obviously include Imrijka, and one of the other characters could be an Inquisitor from Carrion Crown) or if they would be entirely new.
New characters means new art, which means more money, so I don't see that happening.
Just something to ponder over. :)

I believe the Cleric Class Deck characters actually came from the Inner Sea Gods book. I think they may take a lot of the new characters from the Inner Sea NPC Codex. I haven't had a chance to read it, but since that came out in 2014 I would think it'd have characters with Advanced Player's Guide classes.

Baseless speculation by me time:
My guess is that there's going to end up being yearly releases of the character decks (so the next one will actually be along side whatever AP is post-Wrath, and will be used for that one and the subsequent season. Honestly, if I'm right about that, I think that is a good idea, as we already have too much content to reasonably get to with the current class decks, and I think yearly releases pace it out a bit better.

I would be okay with that, if the current Class Decks didn't feel slightly gimped.
Because of the delayed release of Wrath to May 2015, I have a completely speculative suspicion that the next season won't begin until maybe PaizoCon (end of May) or more likely, GenCon 2015 (early August).
If that's the case, it'll be either a full year or close to it since the Class Decks technically released at GenCon 2014. I hope that means we'll see new ones within the next 6-7 months.

A few of the character designs and art come from Inner Sea Gods (I believe Tarlin and Zarlova do); I don't know if there are any NPCs with statblocks in that book. I plan on getting it at some point, but I don't have it yet (I glanced through it and it was a wonderful book).
Vic mentions Agna and the Clerics come from other books, though Heggal does seem to come from the NPC Codex (see Eggal Torkelson). The description of Torgra Stigardsdam seems to match Agna's, so I checked my copy of Seekers of Secrets, and lo and behold, she has a statblock (and yes, she's Agna - except that Torgra has the Student of War prestige class, so even though she looks the same Torgra and Agna aren't really the same character. She does have Ranger levels before going into the PrC).
The Inner Sea NPC Codex has characters that have non-core class levels. There's probably others in the Player Companion or Campaign Setting lines.
