I have looked through the guide, so no need to direct me there.
I was wondering, if it would be better to got paladin 2/monk3/CoI10/cleric4 (in that order) for a "body" CoI.
I am still really really unsure how to proceed here. but I am loving it as it meshes my favorite classes (paladin/monk/cleric) into one basically.
Has anyone played a champion? experiences with it? what would you have changed or built differently if at all?

One level of Cleric gives you Channel Energy, which can be converted to Ki with a Bronze Gong. That means you will have an additional Cha+3 Ki points per day giving you additional Smite Evil/Chaos each day. Also you can qualify for guided hand if you don't mind spending the feats once you go Cleric, letting you use Wis to hit.

If you are planning on a game going into the late teens, the I would look to Pal 2/Monk 3/CoI 10/Pal 5. Paladin is the strongest start if you are starting at level 1. Monk suffers from hit issues, whereas a full BAB, two good saves + Cha to saves, d10 HD and full array of Martial Weapons/Armor/Shields will help ease the pain of the early levels.
From this, I would recommend Monk 3, Paladin 7 and Champion of Irori 10. Paladin 7 will net you two additional Smite Evils, damage scaling with Smite Evil/Chaos, full BAB, two good saves, immunity to fear and disease, a small weapon buff (cannot take followers as a Champion of Irori), Lay on Hands scaling, Channel Energy option and first level Paladin spells. The other option is to go Monk 8, Pal 2 or some midway, but I think the extra Smite Evil, damage scaling, etc. well outweighs the benefits of the extra monk levels, especially after procuring Monk's Robes. This would be what I consider the traditional Monk-centered CoI build.
If you want a more Paladin-style build for CoI, then consider Ninja 2/Paladin 2/Monk 3/CoI 10/Paladin 3. This will let you forgo Wisdom and focus exclusively on Str/Con/Cha as your Ki Pool will be based off of Charisma. I would recommend the Master of Many Styles archetype to give up Flurry and gain useful Style feats like Dragon Style/Ferocity. By getting rid of Flurry and Wisdom, you can then use Full Plate (or Mithril Breastplate for movement) and a Shield to buff your AC without worrying about the penalties for wearing armor.
If you are planning on playing in PFS, then I would recommend no dips as it just delays CoI levels and makes the early levels even worse.
I am currently playing a CoI in PFS who follows the Paladin-centered build with Mithril Breastplate and a Shield and I have no regrets. The character is strong and awesome.
Also, I recommend Dragon Style feats for unarmed CoIs. Fey Foundling for any CoI (due to constant use of Lay on Hands).
