Clearly the strongest martial is alchemist. They don't technically cast spells. Between mutagens and polymorph effects you more than make up for the 3/4 BAB.

I'm a fan of the beast shape II (deinonychus) and greater invisibility combo for the vivisectionist. You get be an invisible pouncing dinosaur!
Best martial I like them all but for the sake of argument. A fighter built for Trip-lock with a spiked chain. Put them down and keep them on the ground.

IMO Trip builds are the perfect example of something awesome that will screw you in the long run, since later on the most commonly resisted Combat Maneuver is likely to be Trip (be it through Flying, multiple legs, or a number of other ways to be resistant/immune to Trip).
