Wizard spells

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Anyone want to make a spell list for a 20th level evil wizard (34 intelligence) for the game I am running? He is teamed with an Anti-Paladin and a Gunslinger. I don't want to pick the spells that directly counter the party so figured I would get some suggestions. The party is powerful so don't worry about holding back any.
Thanks in advance.

What type of evil? Or at least in general terms, where does he sit along the alignment axis? I kind of feel like a CE wizard would have a different spell set than LE.

School specialization? If he's a wizard, and you're building him as such, then knowing what school he's specialized in and which schools are opposition schools can help to develop a list.

A wizard with 34 Intelligence would pick spells that directly countered the party. And he's got divination magic to figure out what they are.

You have a legitimate excuse to go Batman on him.

As long as he isn't spontaneously picking them :P

If you want to be a dweeb (because who doesn't?) I would suggest making him a Necromancy Specialist, creating a rediculous wall of undead (if the Anti-Paladin is a Knight of the Supulcher) or you can just spam the crap out of summon spells and time stop to piss off a party. And if you REALLY want to be mean... Wish is a NASTY spell when a DM uses it (funny thing is, when Wish is kind of limited by Gm discretion and the GM is the one using it, it has NO limit on power)

2nd vote for ridiculous wall of Undead. Time stop and summoning is deadly at higher levels.

The necromancy aspect might be interesting.
He had no future knowledge of the party coming along so he would not have been able to prep for them specifically.
Hmmmm....he's a mercenary bodyguard so he could go CE or LE depending on if he honors his contracts. Either is fine.
Any specialization would be fine.

Pathfinder only spells, or can you have 3.x?

Blood Money + Circle of Death
Also: Blood money + all the symbol spells + mage hand (to uncover the symbols as the PCs approach.

Dazing Spell + Heighten + frost fall to lock down PCs

Mostly Pathfinder but I've allowed the PC caster to bring over a few 3.5 spells.

You can use the wizards in the NPC Codex as a starting point.

One (or possibly two, if you want to go whole hog) blessed book(s) and the Core RAW ("In most cases, wizards charge a fee for the privilege of copying spells from their spellbooks. This fee is usually equal to half the cost to write the spell into a spellbook (see Writing a New Spell into a Spellbook). Rare and unique spells might cost significantly more.") can give you pretty much every spell to choose from for a small fraction of WBL.
