RSS Feeds

Website Feedback

I've noticed in the last couple of days that the RSS feeds from forum discussions aren't being pushed to my reader (Feedly). Anyone else have this problem?

Yep. Every few weeks for most of a year. Eventually I just gave up on them.

Just for further information but the feed subscriptions appear to be broken:

Sorry. Feed not found.

I wish this would get fixed as it is my only portal into following any of the discussions on this message board in one convenient location.

Try the "flatten" view of the main messageboard page, after hiding the subforums you don't care about.

I saw a little RSS activity yesterday, but then it died again. :(

Yeah I'm not sure what exactly is causing the problem with the RSS feeds right now. We've got a site update coming sometime this month which I am hoping will improve that. For now we'll try to keep a closer eye on the RSS servers.

I got the same blip from a couple subscribed threads but I am currently getting no pushes from any Paizo website feeds.

I've no idea if this is helpful information, but I'm echoing a couple of feeds from Paizo onto the front page of the Ontario Pathfinder Society Wordpress site, and this is the error that's currently displaying:

Quote:
A feed could not be found at http://paizo.com/paizo/blog/tags/pathfinderSociety&xml=atom. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed.

That solution is fine from one computer. RSS feeds allow me to see everything I want to from anywhere and from any device all in the same manner. I can also flag post for viewing later.

Just wanted to update saying that some but no all of my subscribed feeds are back after the power outage restart.

Not sure what the status of this thread is, but RSS feeds still don't seem to be correct. I tried using IFTTT to create an "email me when new post appears" recipe, but their validator doesn't like the feed. Running it through the WC3 validator gets errors:

http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpaizo.com%2Fcampaig ns%2FPFSFirstStepsPartIInServiceToLoreTable3%2Fgameplay%26xml%3Datom

Works on some services, but not on others. Sort of a bummer.

Technically, our default feeds are not RSS feeds—they're atom feeds. If you change "xml=atom" at the end of the URL to "xml=rss", you'll get the data in a slightly different format that your aggregator may prefer.

Hate to bump this thread but it looks like the feeds aren't getting pushed again. Nothing new since 22JUN.
