Ok over the holidays all the sales convinced me to buy something I wanted to buy for a while, The Midgard Campaign Setting, and many of the associated material. So far I am enjoying it alot but I have a player who wants to play an Elf who is a specialist in the school of Illumination magic. We found where it mentions the special abilities a specialist gets and it says spells with the Star and Shadow descriptor fall under the Illumination heading. I think shadow spells exist in pathfinder but where do I find Star? Also for my benefit IF I am wrong and Shadow isnt easily found in the Pathfinder books where do I find them as well.
SO in short where do I find spells with the Star or Shadow descriptor for the Midgard Campaign Setting?
Thanks in advance, my player will be very happy to have this information.

As far as I know there is no [star] descriptor in Pathfinder Core Rules. Unless there is some Midgard book that would specifically add such descriptor and list the preexisting spell that gain that descriptor. Otherwise it would be GM call which spells are star-related and deserve such qualification.

Oh, and [shadow] descriptor spells are listed in Ultimate Magic which added that descriptor: UM Updates
