I would stage ** spoiler omitted ** as variants of Croatan, the mystery deepening as each colony ship to Arcadia arrives ... and its occupants suffer accordingly. Bonus points for doing this in 3 annual Pathfinder Society 12th-level one-shots ... ;)
I wouldn't. Prometheus is a travesty. The only good thing about the movie was the enormous facehugger, and the perfect seventies/eighties SF vibe i got from Michael Fassbender's performance. Everything else? Not so much. Oh and Idris Elba was cool.
Also a game:
PCs come back from the war. They are residents of a small town with ample farmland. It was an idyllic place with strong values and tradition. At first when they arrive, they don't notice anything out of the ordinary. But as time passes, some signs that there is something horribly wrong start to surface. After one of their friends gets killed, the PC go on a roaring rampage of revenge against a criminal group who made that town their residence and terrorized the populace devoid of able bodied men and women for all the time there was a war. The PCs, of course, win.

The party is ship wrecked on an island, and discover that an aging wizard, his beautiful daughter, and their shield guardian construct guardian are the sole inhabitants, survivors of a previous expedition, who have taken residence in an ancient ruin.
That night, the party are attacked by a mysterious monster that they can defeat, but reappears each subsequent night.
They discover that the ruins contain an ancient magical property, to summon an eidolon that enacts the unconscious will of the sleeping wizard (who is sleeping in the activation chamber), who wants to drive off the party before they convince his daughter to leave with them.

I thought it was a neat idea, but eh.
This is the problem with about 80% of the movies listed up to your post. I go up to the movie and say 'I have never heard of that movie before' or 'I have never seen that before'.

The PCs are contestants in an overland road race to transport a cart from Kaer Maga to Magnimar. The only rules are: 1) No teleportation; 2) No flying. There are dozens of other contenstants; there are no rules against fighting other contestants. First team to deliver their cart wins.
