Yes, you can... except for that shield held in the other hand. At least that is how my Cavalier does it. And typicaly, once I've done my initial lance charge I drop said lance and draw my longsword and proceed to hacking away at whatever is left.

And I still get 1.5 on the lance damage and +50% for power attack... in Society Play.

Now, how much damage said charge does due to the "double damage on a charge" can get funny in Society Play because no one seems to be able to agree how to add it up. But, the DM usually goes with the way I do it because it's less damage than multiplying EVERYTHING. ;)
