See if your GM will let you use the variant ability #16 for unarmed strike, it is considered a weapon for every monk. Otherwise the variant ability 90 is solid.

If DPR is your concern, consider taking the Martial Artist archetype up to lvl 5 when you get immunity to fatigue, then going barbarian for the rage power furius finish. Along with the vital strike feat tree you can have decent results.

If you want to stick on the flurry of blows and the monk class, take at least the drunken master archetype and the fast drinker feat for "unlimited" ki. Alternatively, dip one lvl of crusader cleric of irori for the guided hand feat and the bronze gong focus for converting your channel energy to ki. In thsi case you need to pump Cha, tough but it also opens the way to the Eldrich Heritage (Orc) feat tree and teh intimidate feats. SHatter Defences is especially useful for letting you use Medusa's Wrath. Going straight martial artist can be effective for the ability to ignore DR too.

Drgaon Roar is mediocre. Elemental fist is not good unless you are a monk of the four winds, in which case you take it for free.

For the ultimate flurry DPR, see this build.

EDIT: Hammer the gap is also a trap in most circumstances.

Shadow Lodge

one build ive fallen in love with and want to try in an actual game is

monk (moms/martial artist)6/ ninja 6

then using a similar build to this:

stealth beyond stealth:
Buy Oils of Negate Armor. This build mainly shoots for 1 sneak attack a round, but if you can get the flanks go for it. Get that Wand of Elemental touch asap. That is pretty cool. The cool part of this build is I actually have a solid ac when I land my Sneak Attack for an AC of 34. Abuse abuse abuse Hellcat Stealth and Shadow well.

Stealth beyond Stealth Goblin:
Level 11 Goblin Rogue (Scout) (20 Point buy)
Traits: Fate's Favored (For abuse with a Luckstone and Jingasa later), Armor Expert
Favored Class Bonuses are damage dealt during a Surprise round or before an opponent has acted.

im debating changing out ninja for ranger, but then the feats would be off slightly

it lets you play an amazing concept that deals pretty good damage, and debuffs the hell out of your target. basically you blend in and out of stealth dealing damage then blending into the shadows.

im still fine tuning it, but right now its looking pretty sick IMO.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

I'm actually running an Oni-Spawn Monk right now, though he's a maneuver master. Arashi.

I went with the same stats, except I lowered one 16 to a 15 and bumped it at 4 to not have to dump Cha that hard.

Your build is damage oriented, and it looks pretty good. I don't like the idea of paying 1 ki each round that you want to power attack though. That'll add up fast.

I think nightmare fist for tiefling monks is pretty good, and it has nice synergy with your skills.
