But mostly I just want a gaming group down here (and it's even more awesome if it's a gaming group of demonstrably awesome people).

(I've "nearly" started five or six gaming groups that all fall apart due to others' schedule changes, and no one seems to play here, though they sell books at B&N, so it seems someone buys the stuff other than me...)

:( Hang in there man. Have you tried the online/Skype circuit?

Thanks. We're working on it. I love the single-player games that my wife and I run, but I also miss the dynamic of multiple players too. It doesn't actually help that I'm a stay-at-home and don't really see "adults"... ever.

(I am getting my next-door-neighbor into "anime" though. I, uh... I started with Avatar: The Last Airbender. Hey! Don't judge! I moved her on to Miyazaki with Castle in the Sky! I've got to take things slowly here...)

EDIT: because ended too soon

What's to judge? Those are both awesome. ANYTHING by Miyazaki is awesome.

I mostly meant "Avatar: The Last Airbender" as "anime", which, since it's American-and-Korean-made, it doesn't qualify, even though it takes clear inspiration and ideals from Anime shows, in terms of plot arcs, character development, and the like.

I definitely agree that both are amazingly good.

(In fact, the first night I lent her Avatar, she stayed up until 4AM watching the first season, she was so hooked. She subsequently did similarly for the following two seasons - one per day - and was blown away. She didn't quite get the ending, but I'd warned her that might be the case. She otherwise loved it. Which makes sense.)

I've also given her Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. The first is phenomenal (and still "family friendly") but really weird to Western sensibilities unused to Japanese stuff.

The second is more traditional in some ways, but is a bit "weaker" as well, to me (despite being great). That said, I know my wife really liked it a lot, and, of our friends that have seen it, the typical (but not constant, so I am aware it varies) breakdown is, "The female loves it, the male finds it just quite good." Thus, the lending of that one.

Despite having seen a ton of Anime, I'm actually running out of Anime to lend, for my Record of Lodoss War DVD set was "borrowed" (and actively never returned) by a friend, while my Cowboy Bebop was also borrowed (and incidentally never returned) by another friend, and my Princess Tutu is currently on loan.

Eventually, I plan on letting her borrow Princess Mononoke, but I want to make sure she's okay with (for her sensibilities) the "really violent animation" that's in that one (similarly, RoLW and CB).

And now we're really off topic. Sorry.

Heh.

I have concluded that all paizo employees are cackling masterminds who stroke white cats while chumming the waters. Also, in answer to your post about the Star Titan, yes. I do want all the answers.

Rysky, I really like your idea here.

Mikaze, your prophesy is pretty cool.

Something I've wondered about, how is the relationship between Feronia and Erecura, or Erecura and Ragathiel for that matter? Feronia and Dispater are friendly and correspond with each other, but do not meet in person, to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. Do the (ex)-wives ever meet? How does Ragathiel feel about Erecura? She a queen of hell, but her alignment is LN.

Something else, Erecura portfolio is deduction, mind-reading, and subtlety. Does she know something about Dispater's forgotten secret/wife? Might that be the reason she became one of his advisers? Shelter in his court if she would look into this mystery?

On Topic: Interesting idea.

Off Topic: Tactics, has your mancard been revoked and burned much as mine was because of "Princess Tutu"?

I love my little pony and hello kitty. But I have no love for princess tutu.

I'm fairly certain that My Little Pony involves subliminal messaging because every time I ask guys why they like it, the answer is always the same, "I don't know, you just have to watch it and see!"

Sounds like mind control to me.

I like it because the Writers aren't operating under the assumption that the viewers are morons.

I also like it because while I WUB me some Daemons and other dark stuff it's still nice to have to some stuff where Good, Happiness, and Frienship win out (pretty sure I traumatized Mikaze with Neverhome).

Also you get a lot of good Memes out of the show.

Off Topic..if there is a Hello Kitty...why is there not a Goodbye Puppy?

I tried to google the topic but the number one site was pet funeral sites...then my PC announced that IE needed to shut down...and it did...

Coincidence...or Hello Sabotage?
