I remember a story where some scientists were developing software that would track the movements of kangaroos or simulate their behavior patterns. They impressed the folks who were financing the operation by showing them how presenting the virtual herd with foreign stimulous would alter their behaviors and movement patterns in a realistic way....
Unfortunately the code for the kangaroos was based on military infantry software so the entire room was surprised to see the kangaroos storming the hilll and attacking the foreign element with rocket launchers.
Not sure if it's a true story or not but it was a funny read.
